Great idea but would be difficult to implement. We use mics for a good reason. You would have to open your emote window, choose the right emote and hope you don't get 1 or 2 off and signal wrong. There is already a 2-3 second delay on PS3, PS4 you can have party chat to speed it up. Mics will be most effective and less miscommunication
But still a great idea, like another said you would need some motion... Maybe six-axis control? Still too much room for error and miscommunication though...

Mics are defiantly the better way to go but not everybody has a mic and besides it would be good for people that make machinama or like to roleplay.

Mics are cheap and the PS4 comes with one in the box. Sure XB1 does as well... It basically comes down to co-op gaming. If you're playing a team mode, you have to work together. In any tactical situation, information is the most important, and if you can't communicate that information, you've caused a huge detriment to your team. Mics solve this issue 9 times out of ten... As with most things in this world, it's the situation, not the person. Unfortunately people are prone to expect the situation to change to suit the person. Adaptability is our common greatest ability. It's what makes us the superior species and will be our hallmark in the galactic standard
