Do you think Bungie should have a branch that tries to take Halo back but not dedicate the whole company to it but I good pice of it and still make Destiny.

They can't. This is not an intellectual property that's up for grabs. Microsoft owns the rights to it and they have absolutely no reason to relinquish their hold on it. I'm much more interested in Destiny than I am in upcoming Halo sequels anyway, so I don't see it being in Bungie's interest to pursue another Halo title.
-
No I loved marathon and halo but I'm glad they are working on something new. They deserve to be able to create something new and show us they aren't a one trick pony. I believe in bungies abilities to be more then just a halo game factory. Although I would love to see remakes of the marathon series.
-
They are; it's their Destiny :-P
-
No. Halo is in the past. They are in the noooow.
-
No. In fact, Halo needs to be done away with all together. It was great but now it's being milked dry. Plus Microsoft won't let go of a franchise who's name alone is worth millions. Let Bungie develop the games they want. Good games only come from developers who enjoy making them.
-
They should concentrate on destiny not on halo
-
No. BUNGiE had its turn, it's time for them to move on to bigger and better things.
-
No, but only to give the series a proper last outing instead of milking it the way it has been.
-
Learn from the mistake and move on. It's an ugly bit of history that Bungie can either learn from or let it fester and defeat future ventures. While I think they may still be sore from it, Destiny is pretty good proof that they're ready to move forward. And while I'm not exactly keen on Activision's business model over the past few years, Bungie has a parent company that is ready to essentially throw money at any idea they have. Let the Halo ip get ground into obscurity by less talented people.
-
No. Devs get tired of making the same game. Much like Naughty Dog and Uncharted. They made the Last of Us mostly to shake it up and make devs do something new.

Edited by ballunix: 8/5/2014 7:14:11 PMTake it back? All the way back. . .to MacWorld? Yes. Totally.
-
No! 343 are so dedicated and are taking Halo further than Bungie ever had or ever would have.
-
Edited by Spiritpotato: 8/5/2014 6:23:09 PMNo, I think they had done all they could with it by Reach. It was pretty clear they didn't have much left for it by then, too. It's like any project, there's only so much that you can do with it before you move on. I'm glad they started something different instead of trying to milk Halo for everything it's worth. I mean, that's what got Nintendo into the position it's in right now. They just remake the same games over and over again, so no one really cares about any other games they might make. They just want the old standbys. Or worse, they stop caring altogether. You need to change and do new things if you want to grow and stay afloat as a company.
-
No, they made it pretty clear that they don't just wanna be known as "the halo guys", they wanna make more smash hit titles with new ideas/innovations. They left Halo in the hands of a Bungie branch 343 for a reason. They're doing a pretty good job

Edited by Kass: 8/5/2014 5:56:22 PMI'm a huge fan of Halo and I'm glad they moved on. They did an amazing job with Halo ce, 2, and 3. By Reach they seemed to stop caring as much, changed the Halo formula too much, slapped a name on it and sent it out. Destiny is their one and only concern now, I know how much love and attention they put into their games and Destiny is certainly bringing me back to fonder memories of their work. Although I still love Halo because of Bungie, it's just not the same as it was. I voted no, it was time for Bungie to evolve to something greater, and they've done it.
-
Bungie left Halo for a reason. They were tired of being confined creatively and wanted to try something new.
-
Most of Bungie were done with Halo and those who weren't went to 343 like Frank O Conner it all worked out people are working on what they WANT to work on and that's good for everybody.
-
how about we let good old games end before they turn into shit
-
Well, they did have several people leave to join 343i, so...
