It's a Legendary/Exotic item, so no. It's for everyone. Bungie doesn't make items for only themselves in there games, they make it for everyone.

  • Well they did for Halo Games which included Recon, Flaming Helmt, etc. But they gave it to everyone on Halo 3 when literally no one played the game anymore and Halo Reach if you pre-ordered the Legendary Edition of the game.

  • Oh honey, you are so, so uneducated. 1) In Halo 3, Bungie had an exclusive chestplate only they could get (or modders), except for a very, very few select others, and everyone on Bungie Day 2010. That was the only day it was publicly available. 2) In Reach, they had armory unlocked at stat and the blue flaming helmet. On Bungie Day 2011 they gave out the Blue flames to everyone with the Bungie Mobile App (as it was brand new then). 3) Again with Halo 3 they had the Recon armor set well before they made it publicly available. 4) After a while you got Recon for doing all the vidmasters, and logging into Bungie.net and hitting the "claim recon" button or whatever it said. Later, after the stat transfer, 343i unlocked recon for everyone who had played before a certain date (I forget the exact day) 5) It's a little thing they do so you can easily tell when you're playing with an employee.

  • In halo 3 they had exclusive armor for bungie employees. They had a chest peice that when equipped made there heads be on fire. That was exclusive to them (and now modders) so yes they do make gear special to them in games before. And also before odst you could not get recon unless bungie specially gave it to you.

In ODST you get recon by completing the campaign on legendary. In Halo 3 you get RECON by completing all of the Vid-master achievments (including ones in ODST). After they were done with halo 3 they gave it to everyone for fun. And to get flames on your head in halo 3 you had to do something on there website (forgot what since it was years ago) So no, they do not. I know this by doing these tasks before, and I assure you they don't make items specially only for themselves.

And no, you couldn't do anything on Bungie.net to get the flaming helmet for Halo 3. That was Halo: Reach, and that was for blue flames, which was also a Bungie exclusive item until they decided to give it away.

  • Half the vid master achievements wear in halo 3. The other half were in odst. The only way to get recon in Halo 3 was to complete them in both games. Or bungie gab out recon to certain community members as rewards for making the laugh or inventing a game or a valentines day playlist reward hint hint. Also. The flames were exclusive to them. You probably dont remember because you didnt play then.

  • I am not incorrect, the reason they made it so the only way to get recon is to complete all the vid master achievements is pretty obvious. It's a way to get players to buy the next game to get a rare item in game. And yes, I remember, I pre-ordered the game. They didn't just hand out recon armor till bungie left halo.

  • Halo 3 flames were never made publicly available, only Recon.
