There are plenty of Single-Player games for antisocial Lone Wolves who are either too afraid, or too good to lower themselves to cooperate with us regular heathenfolk. Our cooperative games should not need to cater solely to you. Thats MMOs are declining in quality.

The lone wolf mentality is exactly why there shouldn't be a mm system for raids, its team focused, lone wolves are a problem in a raid. If you're a lone wolf an hate playing with a team then avoid raids.. its not for you in any way shape or form. Leroy Jenkins? Anyone?

Like I've said its a game mode, you play it one way it doesn't have mm for reasons of the statements above. Randoms do not work well together they want you to work as a team, its the only way you'll get through it so lone wolves are not welcome unless they can cast that play style aside an play as a team

Do you want to wipe my ass for me too? I still don't get why you care if my games suck compaired to your elite group of friends. You will be in games with your buddies, and i'll be in one with, well, who knows. how does that ruin your game? oh, it doesn't, thats right.

Sounds like you're not getting it. Its not for random people if your that person then I'm sorry its not for you. Its for a tightly nit group of friends you've met throughout the game, its there to test your teamwork, its end game content. Meaning, you've done all the strikes an story modes before it, you've now gotten great gear . Now you need to gear up with the countless friends you've made (which btw isn't a problem you should by then have more than enough friends come time you reach raids) now you must talk an plan out gear, tactics during an after you've gotten a taste of it, these are not suggestions but mandatory requirements of a raid. If you don't want to then don't play it. Ctf is done one way ptfo. They didn't design raids for random people. Its for those you've made friends with after the hours an hours of game time you've clocked in. Each person will need to play a role in the raid.

You still have to seek people out. Its forcing a dumb level of social interaction on us. If they made us pay to speed things along, it would be nearly at the level of facebook games.

I mean the 'Sell yourself to people, purely for the sake of gaming with people who are probably elitists anyway" level of interaction. We shouldnt have to dive into the painful depths of the gaming community, just to have a fun few hours of struggling. I mean, when people recruit you for raids, do you really think theyll be thinking "will they be fun to play with?". No, theyll be thinking "Will they slow us down at all, even if our average speed is far quicker then the global average, and theyll barely slow us down anyway?" The IDEA that bungie is using is nice in theory... but ive seen it fail in practice too many times to count.

I don't think MM is an option, it's either there will be match making or there will not be. There will not be a choice. There will not be an option to choose before starting. So if a player on your team drops due to a connection issue an emergency etc. another player may suddenly be in your fire team. I don't think forcing a player on others is a good idea. Right now, neither does Bungie.

In the situation in the beta, yeah, there was matchmaking or their wasnt the strike at all. But dont forget theyve already built both aspects into the game. Theres nothing to say they couldnt have private matches. Also, Matchmaking isnt the same as group auto filling. Even with WoW LFR, someone had to manually tell the LFG to find a new player. As long as match making doesnt auto activate with a missing player, (which is incredibly easy to do) then you arent having Matchmaking forced on you. I can guarantee you that that wasnt what was going through bungies heads at the time of their decision. It was more about the epic, and scope of raids, and the social interation and commitment they were hoping to encourage.
