Halo collection is not 100% Bungie. Granted they made more than half the games in that collection excluding Halo 4 when the games were originally individually released. But the Halo Collection is being run by 343 Studios which is just dedicated to reproducing old Halo games to produce money and to create onto the Halo Universe. Bungie's ship has set sail away from the Halo Universe. If anything go and just buy original copies of the Halo games. Play them as they were not with a new paint job. The original graphics are part of the nostalgia as well and is a nice way to see the progress Bungie and video game graphics have made in such a short span. This is just the personal opinion of a man who one would not consider a fanboy of the Halo series but did enjoy them none the less.
Now your analogy was just rough. I understood it but it was just a stretch in relation to the main topic at hand. I do see what you were going for however just needs refining.
Lastly the topic at hand which is a players progress carrying in the beta carrying over into the final release. I personally would like to see it happen. Not for my characters level or the gear I have in my vault, but for the ranks I built up for Vanguards and Cryotech. Vanguards being the big one since it is such a time consuming process. I do however understand it is a beta and understand that it is very unlikely for our progress to transfer over. Does not mean I cannot be a bit miffed that all we get is an ugly nameplate.

I am pretty sure you dont have to worry much about vanguard cause you automatically get favor for it if you pre-order the game because of the vanguard armory.

Plus I like the fact that they are remastered version plus the fact you can even play the multiplayer. I just hope I can get an X1 soon maybe even before the MC collection comes out. But I don't see that happening anytime soon for financial reasons. Yeah a lot of people don't like the analogy. I wrote that all at like 1 AM last night haha so I guess it does need refining. I too spent a lot of time in the beta, but I went in doing so with the assumption that progress wouldn't transfer. I never grinded for anything in particular and just spent glimmer on ships or emblems, mainly to stand out the crowd as everyone always used the default ships and emblems. I even dismantled rare gear and ships too (ships take longer to dismantle and the default ship didn't net me anything!) just to test it out because in the full game I'd want to collect ships and the good gear. I did play as all of the classes and if it does end up transferring (I will gain even more respect for the Bungie team) I'll just play a new game with one of my classes. I'm not for it because I like to be realistic but I'm not really against it either, and I don't think anyone should be picking sides, either. Its just the nature of a beta.

I was going to avoid doing anything major in the beta like increasing rank points and trying to collect rare items. I unfortunately finished all the missions and reached the level cap in the first day on the PS4 so I was bored and I did not really want to just give up on the beta right then and there.
