Completing objectives without being at the mission location
I started the campaign "Level 2 - The Divide" (the second level) alone. No one was on my Fire Team when I launched the mission. I was exploring the countryside of Old Russia for about 15 minutes when the game suddenly told me that I had completed the Level 2 mission and then booted me to the end-of-mission screen. Unbeknownst to me, someone on my friends list decided to join me in my campaign as part of my fire team. I don't think I received a notification. They entered the "you cannot respawn here" area and completed the mission, and I was nowhere near it (I was on the surface on the other side of the map).
So I would suggest the following: Make it VERY clear when someone joins my Fire Team and make it very easy to tell which random players on my map are on my team. Maybe I'm supposed to be able to tell which human player is on which Fire Team by color coordination, because I see some players whose names are in blue, while others are in green. It's not explained in the intro and it's hard to tell. I understand that the system is set up so Fire Teams can be doing completely different tasks across the map and still complete the mission, so if the retail copy of this game is going to allow players to complete these objectives without being in the area, it needs to make it clear that an objective is currently being undertaken by a teammate.
An easy way to solve this issue is to make a small window somewhere on the screen that shows the names & statuses of those who are on your Fire Team, similar to the list of players in multiplayer/Crucible mode. Just a small list of names off to the side somewhere.
