Why do Warlocks hate Hunters?
So, I'm playing Destiny as a Warlock and I noticed that some of my gear had very 'anti-hunter' descriptions. One said something along the lines of Hunters not being able to shoot straight and other said Warlocks will never 'cede their position' to the Hunters. Anyone know why there's bad blood between the two, or if there's tension between all the classes, or did I just pick a class that happens to be really pissy?
EDIT: So there is some tension between each of the classes. The shit talk mainly goes on between the Warlocks and Huntards. The Huntards and Titans also have a few jabs at each other. Titans and Warlocks seem to get along.

3 RepliesIt's a joke. The hunter gear has descriptions bragging about looking cooler than warlocks and stuff like that. It's probably due to the nature of the classes. Think of warlocks as the knights of the magical round table and hunters as space cowboy vigilantes

6 RepliesDon't know reasoning behind it, but I find it entertaining. I think I remember hearing about a hunter cloak that said something along the lines of "Tell the warlocks your cloak is "faberjous", they respect words they don't understand". I think that the little feud is pretty funny, and I play along with it as a warlock. I give my friends shit about anything I can whenever they play as a hunter.

1 ReplyThere are a couple Titan Pieces that take little jabs at hunters. I think it is mostly Bungie poking a little fun at the playstyle that encompasses each class. But you're right, Warlock gear is WAY anti-Hunter. My favorite: "If a hunter says that you obstructed his line of fire, reply thus: 'It was imperfect, and I could not abide it.'"

yeah my hunter gear descriptions make fun of warlock alot haha. no mention of titan tho lol. i look forward to the game and figuring out why they dont like each other. pretty cool how it creates an in game rivalry:) neat little touch to the game. one of a million cool things were going to discover over the years:) i enjoyed this post too. a nice fun post discussing something cool about the game. thank you. i get tired of all posts being nothing but negative and whiny. haha

1 ReplyI once got a hunter cape that had a quote from some famous hunter that said "as a hunter, you have two jobs: fight the darkness, look better than warlocks" or something like that. i think they would naturally dislike each other. Warlocks think hunters are unkempt, hick-like outdoorsmen, and hunters think warlocks are pretentious intellectuals.
