Some Small Requests

I have a couple ideas for small things that aren't in the game that I would like to be put in. 1. Previewing Shaders and Emblems (I don't want to buy a shader or an emblem only to be disappointed when I try it on) 2. Ability to turn off hud elements (sometimes I just want to enjoy the view) 3. Rotation of character when previewing an item. (I want to see the back of that sweet chest piece before I buy it.) That's all I can think of for now. I'm going to buy the game either way, but these additions would make the game more enjoyable overall.

  • These are some good suggestions. I wondered myself whether we would see a photo mode like was done with Infamous: Second Son, or The Last of Us remastered. I mean, Destiny is definitely gorgeous enough to warrant that, but who knows how that would affect the always online aspect of it.

  • I'll start by saying how much I enjoyed the game and how excited I am to see destiny hit the stores everywhere. It was fun, it was exciting, and after the beta was closed up, it left me wanting more. I'm glad I had the opportunity to play the beta. Now that I've said that, on to the suggestions. One of the main things I would like to see implemented into the game is more interaction with other guardians, specifically with chat and fire team option. 1.) If you've spent any time in the tower, no doubt you've seen the emote system. Dancing, waving, pointing, and sitting, along with the ability to lock on to other players and Emote to them. For example, "Player 1 dances with Player 2". I wish to expand upon the interaction between guardians and suggest the use of an in game messaging system. When I lol on to another player, I would like to see a list of options for interaction. For example, Player 1 locks onto Player 2 ad can send a 'Chat Request'. Player 2 receives the notification and can choose to deny or accept. The list could be furthered by being able to invite a player into the fire team, emoting with them, or inspecting equipment an stats. 2.) the main problem I see with my idea include people spamming invites and/or chat requests. To solve the issue, a player may set their options to automatically decline or ignore these requests. 3.) to further the effectiveness of my chat feature suggestion, the messaging system could be boiled down to two main parts: the inquiry, and the reason. (The most effective example would be messages in dark souls 2) for example, Inquiries could be broken into two listings, chat requests and fire team invites. Reasons could be broken into a few listings, "Raid", "Fireteam:Crucible", and "Fireteam:Story/explore". A quick example could be: "Player 1 has sent you a Chat Request", "Player 1 would like you to join his Fireteam for a a raid" I believe that this system, with limiting factors an rules in place, would be a great addition to the game. If anyone has any suggestions for a similar system or changes, they would all be appreciated, along with any suggestions on refining my idea. Edit: I also believe this suggestion would eliminate the need for a proximity chat. (I don't like proximity chat because I feel it would get much too loud in some areas.) And also eliminates the need for a text chat (if you've ever played a game with public chat rooms you know how bad these can turn out: spammers mainly.) If a public chat room of sorts WERE to be done however, the only way I could see anything like t being done would be a pre set message broadcasted on the feed on the players screen, to which others could reply by accepting or declining. Perhaps a player could open his Fireteam/raid group up and send a request to players in the vicinity, who could promptly queue up or ignore.

  • I haven't heard anyone talk about this, but I would like there to be a MOD (model) shop for the rare loot green to purple. in the beta the variations in the unique skill each green level loot had. For example, I had two different JIGOKU scout rifles one with a better zoom when I crouched and one with 'life support', and from videos I've seen there are many more "MODs". I feel like there should be a shop to buy a different model of the same gun or armor with the MOD that you want after you fully level it out you can purchase the desired MOD of the gun or armor with no exp so that you would have to level it up again. I think this would be better than farming for loot over and over just to get lucky.

  • My major frustration was how restricted you are in terms of loadouts. Yes yes you have lots of pretty guns for me to use but you're telling me how to use them, that's annoying. If I want a sniper and a shotgun or an auto rifle and a magnum that seems rather reasonable. Unlocking what I am allowed to use in terms loadouts would be awesome. I suspect there's been a lot said about the tank like thing on the moon. It is kind of nonsense, but more so is the ability to sit in any vehicle armed to asshole and mulch passersby. In death match that's an irritating but effective strategy, but in objective based game modes it's a guaranteed catapult into the lead and the outcome of the match is rather frustratingly predestined. The fire rate, the damage, whatever makes the tank less capable of eliminating a whole team in ten seconds. Also the removal of vehicle camping in hard points would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise I feel the game was actually more fun than I'd anticipated, and I pre ordered it last year so I'd definitely say well done

Good ideas. Besides the HUD one. Just make that an emote where he takes off his her helmet. Tap it again and they put helmet back on

      • I have few of my own too. 1) The Radar should have a (semi or completely) opaque background and be more vivid in colour (brighter red). I keep losing it in the background clutter and it pulls my eye away from the gun site. 2) I would prefer that I can change the HUD layout myself. What would work better for me is to have the Radar bottom left, Super /Ammo / Grenade info bottom right and score up top left or right. Other people may find it works better in different places for themselves, so choice is a good thing. 3) We need to be able to specify the volume for announcers, background music and then game sounds separately. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but I have a real hard time picking out enemy players or vehicles in PvP. If you don't look down site at them or put them directly in your hip fire gun site - you don't know if it's friend or foe. People on the peripheral edges of the screen are never identified until they nearly cross centre. On a humorous note on the above issue. In my last game of Crucible, I was kneeling in a control zone, when a person ran in on my left and knelt besides me. After a few seconds, we both turned to evaluate whom we were kneeling besides, and then realized we were on opposing teams. We both jumped up, dropped grenades and killed each other..

        • Kind of going along with Shaders, me and a bunch of other guys have been talking about being able to actually see dirt and cracks on your armor after fights. More in depth over here: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/66752244/0/0
