The Hunter's Super ability and Grenade are underpowered compared to the other classes

First its super animation leaves you vulnerable and you don't have that issue with the other two guardian classes. It also only gives you three shots, where combined they may do more damage to any one target. However the other two are area of effect supers and the Hunter's is not so the other Supers can (and I usually do) do more damage and take out 4-6 enemies. I like that I can Nova Bomb the two lvl 9 Knights in the Devil's Layer mission and take both out no problem. However I can only golden gun one at a time and I am screwed if I miss my target. I also cannot take out the acolytes that are with them like I can with the Nova Bomb. I think it best if you are going to keep the animation is to allow us to keep the gun until we swap it out or fire all three rounds. Also, I believe it should be 4 to 6 rounds. As for the Hunter's grenade, the blast area and damage should be increased. Same with the area of effect of the 2nd version of the grenade so that the cluster of bomb-lets don't have to wait until an enemy almost walks into them before chasing them and exploding. On a side note, I like its throwing knife which is the most powerful of the three guardians secondary power.

    • I agree with the grenades--they kind of suck compared to the others. But I think Golden Gun works wonders and fits with the flavor of the hunter very nicely--three precise shots of one-hit-kill madness. It's not supposed to be as are-of-effecty as the other two. Throwing knife is badass. I love getting kills with it.

      • The two booms you have as a hunter are very good one hit you opponent with fire and a explosion and the other throws 5 or 6 mini booms that can do 12 points of damage.

        • I agree with the 4-6 rounds to make up for lack of aoe on golden gun. Throwing knife needs ability to hold and throw when rdy. I'm getting more accurate with it but still have hard time judging close distance throws from knife lunge. I will end up stabbing three times before I jump away and throw knife while enemy is under me.

          • Well said sir. By the time I have clicked my buttons and I start the animation in pvp I'm dead, if I see someone and start it before I reach them to avoid death it runs out by the time I get to them. The titans can just jump I to a group of mobs and bam all dead, I've seen in pvp loads of guardians just drop all at once.

              • My hunter is my favourite BECAUSE of the golden gun. Hunters are single target damage dealers, effective with mid to long range. That's the idea of them anyway. I agree with the grenade though. It's... Pointless almost, splash damage and duration don't seem high enough to me. The throwing knives I think I've only ever missed with a handful of times.

                  He has a pretty powerful secondary power (which is a ranged ability since it's a throwing knife). His grenades have a huge blast radius and deal bonus damage. During his super he can move and look for targets + the golden gun has insane range (by far more than the other two supers). His super and secondaries are well balanced and while he can't super smash like +4 players, his secondary is the best from all. So it's a nice overall good in every aspect class. The hunter is anything else but underpowered.

                    You are kidding right???!?!?!? The Hunter super is OVERPOWERED! You get multiple insta-kill bullets that you can AIM properly ONTO a target. Also find me a video or pic of a titan or warlock super taking out more than 3 people cuz I certainly have not seen it. Most of the time an area super will take out 2 ppl simply cuz you wont find 4 noobs huddled together. ALso 4-6 rounds are you kidding? In PvP that means you get 6 free kills off the super lol.....

                    • The grenades seriously need to be upgraded. I feel like I'm tickling my enemies instead of hurting them. As for the golden gun... I wouldn't mind an extra round or two

                    • The golden gun/ghost gun needs at least 4 rounds honestly speaking and the grenades need a bigger blast range and the burn needs to do more damage. The throwing knife's speed needs to be increase

                        • I agree in a PVE sense but in PVP the Hunter's current super ability just tears up the battlefield. Yes with the Titan and Warlock you still have a chance to kill more than 3 enemies but that's very rare in PVP just bc if the number of players and the map design and generally players are smart enough not to remained too clumped together. Usually though I see the Hunter's golden gun racking up more kills than either the Titan's or Warlock's supers. In PVE I agree with you that the Hunters super is completely underwhelming and isn't as useful as the other two classes supers. And as for grenades, all classes need a bit of an upgrade there if u ask me because right now grenades aren't really good for killing anything in PVP and are better used for simple crowd control.

                        • I'm a Hunter and I agree about the grenades. Completely useless unless the enemies shield is already down. As for the golden gun, I love it as a super. Like others however, I wish it didn't have a timer. As well as being vulnerable during the animation.

                        • The Hunter's super and second grenades are both incredible when used smartly. The super could do with a bit faster draw time for the gun, but other than that, three one shots is adequate, especially in the hands of a skilled shooter. The Hunter is meant to be a precision class. If that isn't for you- change! His second grenade, when deployed tactically instead of haphazardly, is just as good a trap as the Warlock's warp grenade or the Titan's pulse grenade. The class is what it's meant to be, perhaps it just isn't for you.

                          • I agree on the grenades, but the super has the potential to be the most deadly. With the Nova Bomb and the Fist of Havoc, you're limited in the sense that the AoE is the only area with killing potential. With the Golden Gun, yes it's not as easily a guarantee, but you have the potential to eliminate 3 targets who are in 3 separate areas. When I played the Alpha, I thought that the Hunter was grossly underpowered and the Warlock was far too powerful. After playing as the Warlock, I can easily say that the Hunter super gave me the chance to do more in game. Most of the time I use the Nova Bomb to literally just get one kill.

                          • You do realize right that the Hunter is Single Target Damage Dealer in PvE, where the Warlock is an AOE Damage Dealer and the Titan is the actual meat shield? Both the Warlock and Titan Super are good for crowd control, Warlock from a Distance, Titan when closed Range, however both of these do very little against bosses in PvE. The Hunter however does a lot of damage against Bosses with there super(and any other single target for that matter) but lacks AoE. In PvE it is balanced just fine. In PvP supers dont always instant kill and can easily be dodged if there ranged AoE attacks like Titan and Warlock. Both classes can be killed quite easily in there animation too. The Hunters Super in PvP is fine as well, it's an instant kill shot as long as you aim right. As for the grenades.. well they need a small increase for each class, not just the hunter.

                            • I've been saying it for days and a lot of people seem to agree, the warlock is the class that needs a serious overhaul, 1. Warlocks get their supers ridiculously fast, 2. All their moves have just ridiculous range. I'm not saying it's not a good class but when you go into pvp as a warlock your grenades and super should have their radius cut to at least 60% their normal range.

                              • The hunter is a single enemy killer that is it's role and it does it well. Upgrading GG can have nasty AOE and multi-kill potential and the same is true of its grenades. The bladedancer subclass which noone has tried yet offers more potential in regards to what you maybe looking for.

                                • I have played all 3 classes to level 8 and I have to say everything is pretty well balanced. But the Hunter is my best and favorite. The grenade is fine and IMO it is the best grenade. Put that thing right under someone's feet and even if they have full health they are dead. You just have to be accurate with your throws. But even if you hit them with AOE you will most likely take out their shields and it's a easy kill after that. Its the only grenade that performs like an actual grenade. As for the vulnerability when using the power up it does seem that the Hunter is more vulnerable when activating it compared to the Titan and Warlock. Although I do think I have killed a Warlock while they were charging up But the Titan is completely invincible when they are doing their slam which needs to be fixed. I have shot titans point blank and followed up with a knife to the face as they jumped at me and they just end up going right through me and finishing off their slam. As for number of shots I think 3 is fine and the timer is fine also. You just have to pick the right time to use it. And you can get 3 kills every time. Sometimes 4 if you get a 2 for 1 shot. If you think you need more time with it then just get a knife kill while it's activated :).

                                  • Youre -blam!-ing retarded that golden gun is overpowered like a mofo and you get multiple shots vs a titan can only kill a group if theres a group usually only gets 1 kill then its done. If anyhing I agree that the warlock class is overpowered but no way in hell can you say a titan because there special is prerty much a melee attack and can be avoided easy with a double jump
