PSA: We are currently working on a fix for the Centipede issue

A number of users have been experiencing repeated 'Centipede' errors and are unable to log in. We are working hard on a resolution to this issue, and hope to get it fixed soon. Thank you for all our patience, and [i]All Hail the Sacred Centipede[/i], he requires many sacrifices upon the alter of networking to sate his hunger.

    • Ohh, some of you guys still getting the error? That sucks. I just got a email from them like I did when the beta first started with my codes. Clicked on that and my account and characters are back. So maybe keep a eye on your email accounts? Sorry to hear this guys :(

      • so much for "we busted our asses to finish our chores up early." your chores clearly haven't all been done properly. This feels like Diablo 3 for PC's Error 37 all over again. would be nice to be able to play the game now

          bungie please get on the (BEE) error as well i cannot play a single game without this thing popping up i want to at least get on the 26th and i want to know why is this error coming up when i can play everything perfectly except the beta I'm sure its not my internet

          • Got to play for 30 minutes on 7/22/14. Then I was disconnected. This time I got a "Lion" error. Tried to play this morning and once again I received the dreaded "Centipede" error. Hope it gets fixed before the betas over.

            • The problem I keep having is corruption AFTER the game is fully installed. I got it fully installed the first time and got through the opening videos, created my character then BLAM....failure. "Game corrupt." So I uninstalled like it said the reinstalled. Now I got thought the opening video, the first mission: the part where you receive your ship, and now I can't get to the tower because after the mission 1 video I get the corruption message. What the hell am I doing wrong/why won't it work? More or less all I want to know is if I have to uninstall and reinstall again, or if this is a know in game problem that will resolve itself. UPDATE: I am not the only person experiencing this same catastrophic failure for each section the game loads. Two other users so far just within the last half hour have notated this issue too.

                I'm not very tech savvy and can't figure out this app for the life of me, but I found a bug ingame. I figure here is as good a place as any. If you are deploying your Ghost into an objective and you switch weapons, the Ghost will not deploy and repeated attempts to coax the little bastard in will be met with cold silence - forcing you to restart. Edit: Upon further examination, my X button has actually been disabled by this. I was unable to deploy Ghost and reload my weapons. Returning to orbit restored functionality.

              • What about the error where the game keeps freezing and saying it's corrupt AFTER, as in POST-INSTALLATION? I've reinstalled the beta 7 times and it's still freezing.

              • Just started getting the centipede error on xbox one. Only happens about 6 minutes into each crucible match. I have hard reset, reset my router and I am hard wired in.

              • the only thing i need to know is , is this a problem from my end or is it from yours bungie cause i can play everything greatly except this i just need a reason :(

                  I've already posted in other threads about the centipede issue but figured I may as well post here as well that I've been stuck with this problem since saturday the day of the iron banner event. Other people are saying it could have something to do with using the vault to transfer items which I had done too. Also, I play on PS3. Hopefully this helps you guys at Bungie fix the problem so everyone can get in on the event coming this weekend.

                • Hey Bungie, I have been having this problem since day one of both the PS4 and XboxOne betas. I just recently moved into an apartment complex that provides internet to all tenants so I do not have control over firewalls and ports. I was able to play the Alpha with no problems when I was at my old apartment with internet I controlled. If you know it is a port/firewall issue can you give me advice on how to get around it or is this something to do with my Bungie.net account not meshing well with XBL or PSN
