PSA: We are currently working on a fix for the Centipede issue

A number of users have been experiencing repeated 'Centipede' errors and are unable to log in. We are working hard on a resolution to this issue, and hope to get it fixed soon. Thank you for all our patience, and [i]All Hail the Sacred Centipede[/i], he requires many sacrifices upon the alter of networking to sate his hunger.

    • I got the error too. The companion app says I haven't created a character, even though I got 2 to level 8. I hope I didn't lose my data.

          • I'm sure you guys have been working on it since the alpha, but I just wanted to say thank you for publicly acknowledging it. It's comforting for someone who hasn't been able to play any of the beta or alpha even if nothing really comes of it haha.

            yea I have had very little actual play time. at least we know your working on it now. the longest I have been logged in for today is about 15 seconds

          • This is happening to me also, cant seen my characters either says I haven't made any but I have been playing since it started. Been happening for about 5 hours now. Just have to wait it out, good to know they are working on it.

            THANK YOU! I can't wait to fight under the Iron Banner! EDIT: To those who are worried about data saves, try signing out of B.net and searching your own account. While logged in to B.net it says that I haven't played Destiny yet, but if I'm not signed in then my account shows my characters and gear.

              Thank you for looking at this error!!! Please remember that many people haven't been able to play at dormitory's wifi due to settings the school has on the wifi. Hopefully that helps you to resolve the issue (:

                    • Great news. I hope you fix the regular 'Centipede' errors at the same time. I am able to log in fine, but I always disconnect in Crucible matches and quite often in the Tower. My disconnects are split 75%/25% Centipede/Bee with a PS4 with a wired connection to a NAT 2 router with all the proper ports forwarded. The strange thing for me is that I never disconnect in Strikes or Explore mode, just the Crucible and Tower. In Crucible matches, most of my disconnects occur when trying to respawn, but if I am fireteamed up with a friend, I can rejoin the fireteam to re-enter the match then never disconnect again until the match finishes.

                      • I have an error (almost) everytime I'm in a map or the tower for like a minute and it's the same errorcode on the same map (tower is beaver) it isn't my connection, this morning I had 90%!
