it seems many people are in agreement that the vehicles are very hard to deal with right now. I suggest adding Hijacking into the game just like what you had in Halo. the drivers should be punished for letting a player get so close.
as it stands right now players must either get luck head/body shots or simply run away.
EDIT: hey, im all for using skill when it comes to the game. I even got a few lucky headshots this weekend. this would be one more ability for those occasions when we don't have heavy ammo/supers

Disagree. I want to keep earning my 'Chariot Of Fire' medals please and thank you.
-
I'm right with ya in the hijacking, I played a lot of driving the warthog is halos and I miss being able to take out a vehicle with just my wits and speed
-
On the map of Old russian in desert place where all ships are, there spown sometime 3 or 4 npcs which riding the bikes of your 2nd pick and if you good anough to shoot him down you can take the bike.
-
Bungie said no, because there are already too many ways to nuke vehicles (use yo super on the interceptor)
-
You just have to be smart about avoiding/killing vehicles. I hope they don't add hijacking this is destiny not halo

Edited by Omega1993: 7/22/2014 4:18:22 PMI reckon vehicle hijacking should be put in, but it shouldn't be as easy as it was in halo. Maybe when you try hijacking a vehicle, it would turn into a melee brawl where you would have to punch the guy off of the vehicle before you can take it and he would have to try to fend you off as well. This could be one sided seeing as how the titan class seems to have ridiculous melee power but it's still a decent idea.

Also should be splatter features

Disagree but I do see this a possible thought for Bungie because of halo

Disagree. Vehicles can be dealt with easily if you know how. The only way they win is on a 1 on 1 in the open if you don't have a super or heavy ammo. It's far too early to call anything OP. There are some very obviously strong strategies in PvP and a lot of people haven't really figured out how to deal with them. One thing I have noticed is that a lot of people don't really realize the importance of vehicles and heavy ammo. I am still seeing people not get the vehicles at the start or go for heavy ammo.
-
Hijacking would be good. However, I think a better solution would be to restrict health regen while in a vehicle. If not that then more heavy ammo drops on vehicle maps would be nice.
-
I do not agree on this. It is true that who dominates the vehicles most likely wins, but tbh those are only people driving them. When I'm in there I get a chariot of fire medal period. However, when I'm not it's a matter of dealing withm them in a clever way. Splash dmg of interceptor is idiocy, but it also slow, you can't turn and it's easy to snipe someone, melee them, knifethrow them or simply empty a clip in their head. Headshots are not luck, they are skill.

I support this 100%

Hijacking would be cool to have. I have no problem with it. I think the easiest way to deal with the vehicles is just when you get to the Moon Map changed your Heavy Weapon to a Rocket Launcher. I always keep one type of every weapon on me just in case i need to switch. You also need the Heavy Ammo now its not hard to get just Keep A, an C points then stay in the middle of them an defend them. An thats where the Heavy Ammo spawns at A, an C once it spawns take one then wait see if anyone gets the other then take that one if they don't. Then you have a easy way to deal with the vehicles. hijacking still would be fun.

Perhaps having the vehicles become available later ingame? It might be worth experimenting... "Vehicles inbound" or have only pikes available at first and have "heavy vehicles inbound" a minute or two into the game.
-
They won't add that. They were asked about that in an interview and it was Bungie's thought process that they want us to use our supers in order to destroy the vehicles.
-
I agree vehicle hijacking should be in. Guardians are not that mobile to take them out or outrun them...
-
I don't understand the whole vehicle hubbalobba going on. Get in a turret or use your Super. Boom. Done.
-
-
From what I have seen vehicles are hard to deal with because they hit you before you see them. I've been killed easily for not paying attention, both in and out of a vehicle. I like the hijacking idea though.

Edited by PixelBite: 7/20/2014 11:23:53 AMWorrying about vehicle spammers has already caused me to hate moon. Not much can stop them. Turrents even lose to tanks. And it's not even released!
-
Definitely, the turrets too. Those are impossible to kill and way to op. I know this because them because i use them all the time lol.
-
and when the enemy team hijacks the vehicles and dominates you?
-
Hijacking: agree, would be awesome to have it and punish people who don't shoot you or run you down effectively. Killing Vehicles: Grab a turret, empty your magazine at them, use a grenade, use a super...they're not difficult to kill and if you get the drop on them or attack from cover they die easy enough.
-
Agreed. i saw an interview awhile back on youtube where one of the bungie members was talking about the decision not to include hijacking. He said it was because they wanted to encourage players to use their Super abilities to deal with tough situations. But the problem is that if the enemy team has people whoring vehicles the whole time its hard to build up any momentum to win the game or charge up or super in the first place
