Technically, you can play as any race combined with any class. However, each video game fan-base tends to "assign" a race to a class. For example, Skyrim: Nords are generally warriors and High Elves are generally mages. Mass Effect: Female Commander Shepard is usually Renegade and Male Shepard is usually Paragon etc. even though you can mix and match these options to your own desire.
So without further ado, let me be the first to "assign" Destiny races to a class. I am obviously assuming that no more classes or races are being introduced.
Exo - Titan
Robotic in nature, they sacrificed themselves along the Wall to protect the city. Robots tend to be stereotyped as more powerful than organic life forms (Titans vs other classes, check) and inherently possess less of a sense of self-preservation (check).
Human - Hunter
Writers in all mediums love detailing stories with examples of human nature in desperate times, usually depicting man as a criminal or immorally bankrupt individual (Hunters were/are outlaws, check). And being viewed as dangerously ambitious is a common sci-fi trait of humanity.
Awoken - Warlock
Space Elves = Space Wizards. It's really that simple. This also follows the common mantra of "something happens to a group of people, they change, and obtain powers or gifts". Side Note: Maybe Awoken are humans long ago and something happened?
Anyway, let me know what you guys think of these "assignments". YES I KNOW that any class can be any races, but as I'm sure a lot of you know, we RPG fans like to make such "assignments". If anyone has different "assignments" please post and we'll compare.

I'll be going Exo Hunter on the idea that robots are extremely precise and consistent. But definitely see where you're going with the assignments. Human could also be swapped in for Titans for their remarkable willpower to keep going no matter the situation. Heart might be what differentiates Humans from the other races. Okay turning my nerd mode off. I went too far. Good topic though!
