Loki's Shooting Gallery [NOW WITH POWER UPS]

  • I'm sure everyone is enjoying their time playing the Destiny Beta which I sure am! it will all come to an end July 27th where we then have to wait until 9-9-14 to pick up the official game. Now I am saddened by this because I enjoy playing the beta very much and I am very impatient to wait for this great game to come out! So why don't we the voice try and get the beta to stick around a little longer! Use the hashtag #PlayALittleMore to keep the beta around a bit longer. Spread the movement.       Alright, I've got it now to freeze the timer when you get the FREEZE TIME power up and then resume it after the effect wears off. I removed the extra 10 seconds it added though as it was originally added to counter the freeze time effect (so you didn't waste 10 seconds while everything was frozen).

    • To those looking for high score. Look for the Big numbers of coarse. Read the rules to see how much each card is worth so you know which ones to aim for. That being said, don't be to hasty. When you see double points or a Gold Card, wait for a second. Personally I wait for the Gold Cards to be almost all the way off the screen. I know it is a risk but if you are too fast you might miss the Double Point Combo that is right around the corner. Same for double points. If you hit it to soon, you might get some basic cards but right after it runs out a gold card or 2 (sometimes 3) will pop up. You will then proceed to kick your self for not waiting that extra 2-3 seconds. Also, I personally don't use time stop. It doesn't stop the clock (Which might make it more useful if it did XEROPAIN, Just something to consider :-)) and if you see a double points, you can't grab it until the charge is empty. Great game, love playing it when I have time. XEROPAIN: still have some issues with dragging cards. It isn't so much in the middle as it is when they get close to the curtains. I drag Gold Cards, Double Points, and Wizards all the time lol.

                  Alright everyone, Update 1.0.3 is up. I basically redid the entire system that generates targets. Before, I had a set number of targets in a row and told it to randomize the order. That was fine, but if there were only 2 bonus targets on a row, there would never be any more than that, they would just loop back around after a while. With this new method, it generates each row randomly when the game starts using percentage weights for certain targets on certain rows. So technically, you could get like 7 bonus targets in a row! For example, the bottom row may be set to show more low to mid value targets but show more power ups as well while the top row may show more higher value targets but also show more penalty targets and fewer bonus targets. Each row has been adjusted to be the same speed as well. This new system will give users more of a reason to venture beyond the top row since now, just staying on the top row doesn't necessarily mean you can get more points faster. I also added power ups! There are only 2 right now but they are awesome for helping you get more points. Read the extended How To Play screen for details! Finally, I adjusted the ranking labels to accommodate the new system difficulty. Since it's now easier to get more points, I bumped up the levels a bit. See above for details. Let me know what you think of the new changes. You may need to clear your cache or refresh your browser to see the new version.

                  This is great. One other thing you could do is make a JSONP request to the Bungie.net Platform for the currently logged in user's memberId/displayName/uniqueName and use that for the leaderboard entry instead.                 • Trick for all players wanting to go Legend. Read the Rules. Use a mouse, and stay Close to the top row. Yea they move fast but that is where the Wizards are. Wizards are worth the most (next to a Gold Tab). I stick to the top row and only drop to the second row to hit the Big Targets or a Gold Tab. Be sure to read the rules to see which tabs are worth more. Also, watch the tabs, sometimes they get back up.

                        Just a heads up - I will be reorganizing the leaderboard database so it only shows a user's highest score instead of showing all the scores like it does currently. This will keep it cleaner and let more people on the board.

                      • I think I will post the top 25 players' scores in about a week before the beta comes out. Only your highest scores will be used though (since DarkSaint05 would probably hold all 25 spots himself :P). Might have to include a prize of some sort too for top score.
