About a year ago, I listened to a lot of people whining about Forge. Yeah Forge. I said to hell with Forge and to Hell with forgers. Bungie are brilliant game designers and I don't want their creation cluttered up with amateur hour. That's the way I said it, that's the way I want it. The only possible concession I made was to let forgers have some piece of a moon of Saturn or something, but not Earth, or the Moon or any of the regular maps. Go play griffball in Halo 5, weenies.
Now the alpha is over and everybody is breathless about how spectacular Destiny looks. And not a peep about Forge. Good. I told you Destiny needs Forge like the Mona Lisa needs a tongue stud. Now all we need is DeeJ to stick a fork in the argument. Please.
Bungie are brilliant game designers and I don't want their creation cluttered up with amateur hour.
Unfortunately Bungie historically has disagreed with your opinion, in the past they've been very excited to see what their passionate and creative community can come up with despite being given limited tools to work with. When asked about Forge in Destiny, DeeJ has commented that Bungie is not yet ready to talk about the ways that players will be able to leave their mark in Destiny's world. A map editing feature may or may not make its way into the final game, but rest assured, if it isn't included, it won't be because the folks at Bungie are afraid of some players doing a bad job at forging, that seems like a very selfish and silly reason to want a feature to not be included.
