Destiny Alpha Impressions!!!

Okay, so this is for everyone who has played/is playing the Destiny Alpha. I have had a fair amount of play time to absorb enough to give an opinion so far and would like to share discussion with others about their impressions and feeback! So for one, thank you Bungie/Activision/PlayStation for making this Alpha possible.. I and I'm sure many others are really enjoying it! I know this is alpha and things may change for the release if it hasn't already, but I feel it is our duty to still leave a memo just in case.

  • So, here's my impressions... I have to say, it is really living up to my expectations and more.. I always knew Destiny was Destined for greatness and still believe it will be GOTY 2014!!! I have to say the customization is really cool, I like it and I am glad there is a variety in skin color.. I know it's not a big deal, but I usually dislike games that only put 1 or 2 skin colors. (+) The explorable boundaries could be improved.. not sure how much I like exploding when I fall in the water.. (-) The Tower is much more beautiful than I dreamed.. (I have found myself fascinated with splashing in the little water puddles throughout the area) I look forward to seeing the rest of the Tower areas in the final game. (+) Loving the potential gear possibilities and the 'Preview' that is a big plus, because window shopping for gear really boosts my motivation to achieve it. (+) Took me awhile to figure out the things about Vanguard and Crucible marks and the Reputation you can achieve with those NPC's.. not sure if that would be a plus or minus, but I guess that is one of those things the player has to figure out on their own.. not sure how it will effect the daft minded, but I think I can dig that kind of discovery.. I feel accomplished for that. Field of View.. I was never one of those FOV complainers, but I feel the FOV is TOO tight.. especially when I am playing on Hunter using the Hand Cannon, the FOV is right at the wrists.. was it always like that for handheld weapons or is that just me? (I need to see a little forearm) and when using the Hand Cannon, the arms never idle down for clear vision.. It feels like a strain on the eyes trying to make sure I don't miss any ammo or loot drops. (-) Well it's 1a.m. and I have already done an Allnighter yesterday, doing strike missions kicking Sepkis Prime's butt on LEGENDARY and Exploring the areas.. so that's all my brain can think of for now.. will update if I realize anything else. Let me know what your impressions are so far and feedback for the game guys!
