Crimson Taught Me an Important History Lesson

So, after I downloaded Crimson and played it for awhile, I noticed in the storyline that they talk about the Confederacy as if it was powerful. I was confused at this as the game takes place after the Civil War and looked up the backstory on the developer's website. Anyway, after reading through the alternate timeline I realized that Lincoln wouldn't have been regarded as the great president he is today if he didn't win the Civil War. Why is it that Bungie always gets the most in depth universes? [Edited on 12.05.2011 4:29 PM PST]

(little more to a 'universe' that a soft story) bungie didnt actually do much for this game. The most you could say is that they pressured an ex-business partner into making a quick game so that aerospace would have at least one game to show for 20+ months of effort. Shame your "history lesson" research did not extend to the games development itself - lol.
I know this. Which is why I said "gets" and not "makes". [Edited on 12.07.2011 7:04 PM PST]
