The Community Difference

To you, as a Bungie Community member, what is the difference between ours and other gaming forums out there? What makes Bungie so special?

  • Interaction is key! I've never been fed an update weekly by any other company, let alone get my questions answered like Bungie does!

  • Bungie is the forum to which I go. All the others go to I do not.

  • Apparently we all live in the same city, and go to the same place everyday to hang out. That kinda makes us bond over time i would've thought...

I like the high interaction between Bungie employees and the community but is very similar to Blizzards community forums. I like both equally.

Bungie listens to us. Spawn put together a list of feature requests before the site redesign a few years ago. Then, he put together a list of things after the site change and compared what we requested with what actually happened. It was pretty cool.

Bungie acknowledges that they are fans, just like we are. They like all the same things we like in aggregate, for typically the same reasons. Bungie also interacts with us on a more personal level than some other big developers, and they know how to do it correctly. I don't really think the community itself is distinct from other fan communities though. We have the same parts, some good some bad, making up this community that makes up any substantial internet community. We just happen to have a much better general fashion sense than some other communities. So...I guess that is a distinction. Yay us.

      • We share a common bond. Bungie are great games developers that actually play the game with you. They are PART of the community imo
