Random Wikipedia Attacks

I casually clicked on an article on how they laid fibre optic cables across the ocean floor ... before I knew it is was 3 in the morning and I was an expert on the construction of fibre optic repeaters... Damn you Wikipedia, cursed whirlpool of my time. Post your random wikipedia adventures.       • Mostly the histories of companies and manufacturers lol! But the longest adventure I've ever had was when I was researching nearby abandoned mines and towns for a hiking trip some friends and I were planning. (We successful, we found ruins of old towns, open mineshafts, old mill ruins)

      • When I was at school, I'd usually have done all of my work before the start of lunch so that was a good few hours of time to waste until I could go home. So it was Wikipedia or re-re-re-re-re-reading my textbook for the 14th time... So I spent hours and hours just looking up everything I could think of that I wanted to know more... So. Much. Semi-Useful. Knowledge. Wan Shi Tong ain't got nothing on Wikipedia. o.O
