From Where Did They Come?
The Golden Age was the era when Humanity expanded through the solar system, [b]But from where did the Awoken come from? [/b]I feel like there's a missing link here. I suppose the Exo where made during the Golden Age (Because they're robots right?), But the Awoken are a total different race, [b]So what's their origin?[/b]
Any info or ideas?

I agree with Jeddels The Awoken are likely Cybernetic Humans (Cyborg) who "died" and was brought back using tech from the Traveler or another source but I get the vibe that that is what Exos are considering Bungie described them as "Undead". Another possibility is that they could be Humans that were injured beyond the point of conventional medical care, still resulting in them being Cyborg. OR Humans that sacrifice themselves to be "Awoken" as Guardians? If Awoken aren't Human Cyborgs then I don't trust them, they could be an Alien race emulating Humans via Bionics/Cybernetics. NOTE: The Awoken have robotic voices

11 RepliesThe Awoken are pretty much confirmed to be humans "awoken" by the Traveller, and not an entirely different race. Also, Exos are probably either cyborgs or human minds digitized and placed in robot bodies (so, not actually "robots" by the conventional connotation of the word).
