Hello there, I have recently been interested in getting Halo 2 for PC, but I wanted to research it first before I make a dumb mistake. I have been playing Halo for most of its 10(almost 11) years now but mainly on the Xbox. I am looking at this version on Amazon::
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000NV8F58?qid=1344778771&sr=8-2&vs=1
But it has some very mixed reviews.. I have a 64 bit Windows7 desktop that I built myself::
i5 2500K
Nvidia EVGA GTX 560(non Ti)
8 GB Crucial RAM at 1600Mhz
(main needed specs)
So my question is mainly, is it still worth it to get Halo2 for PC?
I wouldn't be playing much multiplayer, but I want to link it with my Gamertag(gold mem) and have it play well and stay connected online.. I have seen some people lately saying that because of an update for GFWL, it doesn't easily accept the older games' validation codes anymore. Is this an actual problem and means that I shouldnt get H2 for PC(Im using Win 7) because it's hard to remedy this(or any other hiccups)??
Or do you think I should go ahead and get it? I do wish to play some Halo 2 again, online and campaign..
What do you think?

Thanks for enlightening me, friendo. You do realize that is exactly the same thing you're doing with H2V, right? Final question: Are you guys genuinely ignorant to the true meaning of piracy or are you the drug dealer that claims it won't hurt to try [insert hard drug here] once? (Being absolutely serious with the question. If you don't feel like answering it publicly then send a PM.)
Someone needs to learn the difference between filesharing and piracy. While each may be illegal in their own way, they are completely different. Piracy: selling stolen or cracked content Filesharing: ...sharing files, be it stolen/cracked/legit/whatever. p2p falls under here. I see general media has gotten to you. Also, please tell me where I said it was only piracy if it involves cracks. You can have filesharing of cracked files. I crack things and share them... umad bro? It's not piracy unless I'm selling it. Maybe you should refresh your definitions on some of the differences between piracy and filesharing. You seem way too eager to throw around that term. FYI: the only illegitimate part about it is the h2v ISO download. The mf.dll is loaded by h2registration/h2v on startup, and the keys are not keygenned (microshaft products are individually activated...) [Edited on 08.26.2012 10:13 PM PDT]
