How sure are we that entering the Geomancy is required to refresh the node? I have been using Opera's built-in Refresh Every function to refresh the page every 5 minutes and it has been working fine so far. The images update and I never have to enter the Geomancy again (except when the next day begins).
Step 1. Download [url=http://www.opera.com/browser/]Opera[/url]
Step 2. Go to [url]http://alphalupi.bungie.net/[/url] and enter the code
Step 3. Right click > Reload Every > Custom > enter 5 minutes > click OK
Step 4. Leave Opera running all day

I'm 100% sure entering the geomancy and viewing the page is sufficient to have a node added to the geomask. Pressing F5 or the equivalent, only 90% sure ;)

But you can't really be sure that a simple refresh always activates it either. It is likely that it does because it prompts for sending the request again. I would like to be able to run some experiments on older days to get a better idea for how things populate. But we would need to insure complete isolation on earlier channels. Day 7 seems to be too busy and the other days also have a little bit of noise on them. I was actually able to see a single dot on day 6 earlier but shortly afterwards it became very populated.

EDIT: I just opened Day 6, there is a single dot, I will begin refreshing every 5 minutes with Opera. If the location matters, my IP is based in the Philadelphia, PA area.

No it wasn't just because I viewed it. I was also able to view a page that had only 3 dots on it at a single time. I think that's because it was only myself and one other person viewing that day's solution. I posted a long description of how I think the population algorithm works in the starting thread (Alpha Lupi's)
