In light of the new info from the lastest issue of the mag, there's a lot of new stuff to talk about. At least 4 way team matches have been confirmed, online coop likely, Earth and 2nd Halo confirmed, Elites will be playable in at least one mode, new Assault mode, new energy boost for ghost and banshee. The list goes on and on. So, now there's all kinds of stuff to talk about, let's talk.

Please don't post links to scanned images. Magazines pay a ton of money to get exclusives. Buy the magazine instead. Or at least wait until that issue of the magazine is past it's shelf life. [Edited on 4/15/2004 1:26:44 AM]

you'd be doing everyone a big favor by scanning. Because I really don't mind paying its just the wait that kills me. Couldn't you just PM the scans... Be a little bit on the wild side, and help your fellow Halo fans : )

Oh, I get it now.....but bungie gave them the info to get the word out about the game. The reason your charged money is because it cost money to make a magazine...not for the info itself. But that's fine if it's uncool with you, it's still good info to discuss; don't you think?

Yeah, this article definitely has me giddy as a school-girl. In a masculine sort of way of course. *Ahem* But yeah, I especially like the idea of four teams squaring off at once....talk about the ultimate clan match. Not to mention with the tsunami options, you can hold Halo 2 tournaments....it's gonna rule, and I don't know if I can wait.

Personally, the thing that concerns me the most is the banshee and ghost boost by holding the left trigger. The ghost was already the best flag get away vehicle...now it could be unstoppable. They better counter-balance that somehow.

SINGLE PLAYER * Bungie confirmed the campaign will take place on both earth and a 2nd Halo Ring. * Peaking and destructable envoirments are likely but not confirmed. * Brute and Prophet confirmed, likely to be atleast one more covenant added. MULTIPLAYER * Online 5 week Alpha test has been completed. The test was available only to 1000 M$ employees. * Elites WILL be playable in atleast 1 multiplayer mode * New multi modes confirmed, (only one described) Assault - offense carries bomb into defense's base to score a point, roles switch after a point is scored * "ONLINE COOP LIKELY" * Interactive envoirments In alpha version objects could be moved by being shot or by pushing them, could be pushed off ledges. Final version likely to contain quite a bit more interaction with envoirments. * Ghost and Banshee will have a new addition - Holding the L trigger will cause engines to flare and cause you to move across the map at unheard of speeds * New "energy elevator contraption" - stepping into the swirling energy beam lifts the player up like a strong air current. Players CAN fire will being elevated (unlike when using a ladder) * Atleast 4 teams confirmed.
