Halo novel "The Flood"

So with Halo 4 fast approaching ive been trying to read all the halo novels before release. I should of started with Contact Harvest but im going in the order of release. I already finished Fall of Reach and im almost done with First Strike. I skipped The FLood because I kept hearing it was just Halo CE in book form. Does it add anything to the game or have any other information I would need to be worth reading? And lastly, what books spoil Halo 4's story because I want to go into it knowing almost nothing.
Er, no, do read the Forerunner trilogy insofar. They're the most important books relating to Halo 4, and I'm certain they'll be referenced countless times - little asides you'll miss if you haven't read them.

Posted by: RKilbane20 And lastly, what books spoil Halo 4's story because I want to go into it knowing almost nothing.

There are no Halo 4 spoilers in any of the books. That's like saying watching Empire will spoil Return of the Jedi. The Forerunners books act as a prelude and introduce some of the things we'll see in the games.
