His character in the K5 trilogy is build up as the direct antithesis to Cortana, right down to his holographic representation. They're probably laying the foundation for conflict there, and if Cortana's going rampant then conflict there most certainly will be. If there are other Spartan IIs on [i]Infinity[/i] and they're ordered to take Cortana from John to be destroyed, I wonder what John would do. I think he'd go as far as to kill one of them for her, if it came down to that.
