Bungie Weekly Update
Very, very short Weekly Update today, but some good news about failed Halo 2 map downloads, at the very least.

lol they said they some have to wait till monday but i guess ill be waiting a little while longer cuz this is just ridiculous, i didnt pay 4 bucks to wait. i coulda bought something to pleasure myself with that 4 bucks.

I'm not mad about Bungie not getting a fix by the day they said they would, but they could at least post some sort of explanation on the front page.

Seriously, lie to me at least. Say something. It's now Monday night and I still can't download the maps. If you were parents, you'd have child services called for neglect, or maybe you're something even less dramatic. Either way, how about giving those of us with downloading troubles a heads up on when the problem will be fixed for everyone? For the record, I've paid the 4$. Almost a week ago now... I'd like the goods and/or services I've paid for. Heads up? Link to support for this issue on xbox.com? Anything? durrrr

ya, i've got the same message that most other people have i figured out the timezones stuff when they came out, and downloaded them the minute it came out then, it failed, telling me that i bought it, but the installation failed i've been trying it on and off since it came out, and exhuasted every single troubleshoot method known to mankind! (i've also gone to some of my older games for comfort during these hard times) now i'm sure they'll fix it, just like they've fixed every halo-related problem to date (such as cheaters on xbl) so all i can say is that the playlists are going to be updated soon, so when the playlists get updated, and all the little halo gamers like myself are unable to kick some -arse-, anarchy will most likely ensue. ~Clubinator~ PS: BUNGIE, YOU GOT SOME EXPLAINING TO DO! Just today I became a bungie member. I love the halo games as well as the halo books read helped me get more into the games. One of my life long goals is to get into the gaming buz. Its tuff trying to come up with the money to do that but I will meet my goal someday hopefully within the next two-five years. With what I know about software (which is a work in progress) I can understand how it would be a problem even when its on the web. Keep up the good work guys. See ya---WackiestMOSELEY

i was having the "premium purchases not allowed" problem so i made another account. that didnt work. i dont play halo 2 anymore. i was getting bored of it anyway.

okay, so i just got the maps to download based on some tips i got from another site. i have a 360 and i kept getting the message "purchase failed. you have not been charged for the purchase...." i followed the advice given, and it worked. Here are the steps: Account management Manage Memberships Click your account Click the button for creditcard options Just re-click your credit card Sign into Halo 2 Download maps *click change payment options, then click on your card. let me know if it works for you. yeah, i'm still getting an error message when attempting to download the maps. i called microsoft to verify my card info and everything seems legit. of all of my friends that play halo 2, i'm the only one to not have the maps. wtf bungie.

yeah--still doesn't work for me either, it's definately not the box. it's the monkeys inside the box throwing shiz all over the place. but seriously how hard of a problem can this really be to fix?

still unable to download the maps. the dl bar shoots up and after a coupla seconds i get the installation failed message. could this be a problem with my actual xbox? i've tried multiple connections and settings and its the same all around.

Still, they said some of us would have to wait til monday, and from what ive seen on here, it seems more like the majority of people had to wait til monday. Well its monday, and i still cant get the maps. this is really annoying... Its one thing for them not to be able to install when you first get them, but when they dont work the day they say they will after they supposedly fixed it... Thats just ridiculous...

same here. gaaaay. maybe we just have bad luck. it's cool though, i don't mind not being able to go into matchmaking come tomorrow..it's no big deal really.

I dont have a 360 or an xbox but most of my friends do. So over here in England they'll be messed up for GCSE's.
