I haven't read any of the new Halo novels since Halo: First Strike. I've been reading some of the reviews online for the newer books and most of the reviews appear to be negative.
Are there any books worth buying? If there are, which ones are a good read?
Posted by: ROBERTO jh Kilo-5 isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Really all it does is present a different perspective on some of the events in Halo's past. Some how this is a bad thing. :/
No, it's not that. It's just that Karen Traviss went into Glasslands with barely any knowledge of the canon. The Spartans suddenly all act like a big happy family and disregard their training (like, instead of using acknowledgement lights they just talk), ONI is suddenly some renegade group with infinite power, Mendez and Halsey argue constantly, and her writing style regarding Halsey is horrible. Good authors lay out everything and let the reader form their own opinion, while Traviss used the entire book to preach about how horrible Halsey is in a biased way.
