  • [quote]I'm personally unbiased to the elite v.s. spartan debate the point of the matter is all Halo games have revolved around Spartans because you are a spartan in all the games except for halo 2 the only thing i will add for the elite's argument is i was/am hoping for the Honor guard armor would be totally kick ass but it's Bungie's game if you don't like it don't buy it it's as simple if they didn't want you to play as an elite they wouldn't give you an option. i'm not saying the Spartans are better i'm not saying elites are better i'm merely giving my interpretation of why Bungie is doing what they want to[/quote] using tried and true cop-outs of "It's a Spartan's world your just living in it." and "Its Bungie's game" or the "Don't Like it, Don't Buy it" isn't a valid reason, they are cop outs to justify an excuse to not address a valid concern. As I stated in my post I previously addressed these exact reasons. No more can these be used to end the conversation. The issue remains and ignoring it will not make it go away. What I've proposed is a legitimate concern and a polite and productive suggestion for fixing it. [EDIT] I will tell you exactly why they are cop-outs "It's a Spartan's world your just living in it." - World War 2 stories often center around US or Germany, but there are many stories that are just as heroic or evil if you look into them. Britain and Italy respectively. All I am proposing is lets look at their stories for once, instead of another story either involving the US beachhead at normandy or Germany and the death camps. "Its Bungie's game" - True, but they have even admitted that they look to us for concerns, for what we want to see. And like any community, the loudest concerns will be addressed first and sometimes the only ones addressed. So the fact is, I am voicing a concern, just like I am expected to,as a consumer of a product. "Don't Like it, Don't Buy it" - This is the most BS of reasons, because its just silly. Elite players and I would even venture to guess all players, are not so Black and white about things, that either they get what they want or they leave. Again, we too enjoy the stories of the Spartan's and the general "Halo-ness" of the games. The games overall are very good, and very enjoyable. Again we are voicing a suggestion that we would like to see, giving feedback on a product in efforts to make it better, or suggestions for additions to the product, so Bungie will increase the probability of seeing my patronage and money again. This is why they are cop-outs because they do not address the original concern and in fact serve to detract discussion from the issue at hand and create a sub-discussion or sidecar discussion into "Should we even be discussing this?" or further explanations as to "Why, we should be discussing this?" Which serve to waste time, energy and derails discussion at the topic at hand. And infact is so effective that doing this intentionally say in a Political climate you can keep debate raging for years while nothing gets done, or you have the community so busy with each other, you can get away with anything while there not looking. [/Edit] And for those who have discussed privately with me, I cannot understand why there is such resistance. And no we will not be ignored or brushed off, this is a true legitimate concern to me and I will see it through. Again, no demands are being made. But a simple request, an audience if you will to voice these concerns. -AgentExeider [Edited on 04.02.2010 10:09 PM PDT]
