30,000 dollar gun turned in at gun buyback

Article *whew* That was a close one. Glad the police gave it back. That lady better be sure it's NFA registered, other wise she's in for some deep -blam!-. But those officers need a medal or something. Helluva' piece of history to turn up at a gun buyback. Seriously though, we almost lost a piece of history. One that belongs in a museum. I'd give anything just to see one, let alone touch one or even own one. Gun buybacks are scams, pure and simple. No questions asked, you just take a gun and they give you around 50 bucks. Then they go and get melted down. Had these officers been less informed, or even dishonest they would have taken that rifle and destroyed, or sold it for them selves. Gun buybacks are also an easy way for thieves to fence stolen firearms. No questions asked means that serials are not checked. They juts take the gun, and give the person the money, and it's over.

 • Hey if a thief wants to go through the risk of stealing a gun, possessing an unregistered/stolen gun, and then walk up to cops and hand it over, they should definitely get a $50 gift card to Best Buy.
