Posting guide for new members.

I'm going to leave this here as a helpful guide for our newer members. It is a quick and simple acronym you can use for when you want to start a new thread. That acronym is D.R.A.G.O.N.S. Here is the breakdown,

D - Determine your topic Know what you want to write about. Don't create a topic that you're ill informed about or have no sources for. The forums know when you don't know what you're talking about, and they will try and tear you apart for it.

R - Research the recent topics Don't be the tool that makes the second or third thread about a topic. Repeat threads make people rage. Take a few seconds and look to see if your topic isn't already on the first 2 or 3 pages.

A - Appropriate forum One the first two steps are finished, make sure you put it in the right place. Off topic threads in a forum get locked fast.

G - Grammar Use complete sentences. Know the differences between your and you're. Make your post flow. This will make a huge difference, trust me.

O - Open the spellchecker Spelling is just important as grammar. Don't use leek speak, use caps appropriately, and fix your errors if you notice them. Also remember that the spellchecker won't catch it all, so proof read!

N - Never break the rules Simple enough! Learn them and love them.

S - Start the thread! If all of the above are satisfied, then start your thread!

[Edited on 12.07.2012 8:33 PM PST]
