Have you ever run into a B.Net member in public?

Have you? Preferably without meaning to. Preferably awkwardly. Last year I was working at a Cold Stone Creamery over the summer when these two tall, hip looking dudes walked in and got in line. The first I didn't recognize, but the second, with the lethargy on his face, with his Bright Eyes hair, with his sharp features, I recognized immediately. I had seen it on his blog years ago--probably back around '05 or '06. It was unmistakable. And I knew he lived in the same town where I attended college, at least at one point in his life. I knew there was only one way to make sure, so I timed my pacing with the customers so that I would be the one to ring up him and his friend. First his friend--whoever he was--and then him. He handed me a credit card. Perfecto. I swiped it, and while I waited for it to go through, I took one sly look at the name. I prefer not to say his whole name, but the first name starts with an "M" and his surname starts with an "S". It was his name. I handed him back his card. I gave him his receipt. He said, "Thank you," and left. The creepy thing is, Yoozel probably never had a clue that, for the five minutes that he was in line, I was analyzing his face, his demeanor, his movements, and his credit card for information that would without a doubt confirm to me that he was who I thought he was. I haven't seen him since. [Edited on 01.01.2013 5:06 PM PST]

 •
Posted by: Sliding Ghost inb4 skepticism There was a similar post on Waypoint where a guy said he met Frankie at an airport or something. Everyone fell for it until the man himself made an appearance. But that's Waypoint. This is B.net and I believe you op.
You better, because we literally live in the exact same town as each other, Yoozel and I. Unless he has moved. I keep my eye out for him. And after attending college here (WVU), I do understand why he earned the titled "Drunken Moderator".

 • I wish I had the luck of meeting some of you in the wild. No one is ever wearing swag though, so I'd never know.

 • He was wearing a Bungie emblazoned shirt. It was early one evening at my then local shopping centre. I looked upon him knowingly, knodding in approval. He nodded back. There was a fist pump moment. We moved on.

 • While working at Gamestop last year I ended up getting into a deep conversation with a customer while his kid was looking at the Wii games. We ended up discussing 343 and their takeover of the Halo series, along with Bungies new game. He mentioned B.net and I told him to check out all the conspiracy threads if he hadn't already. Never got his username sadly.

 • Some of these are wonderful! I went home over the break for the first time in years and rummaged through some of my old things--and I found my old Bungie.net tshirt! So I'mma give that a wear around town and see who says hello. Honestly though, I think a Septagon tattoo would be legit, especially if it is visible to others while walking down the street. Too bad, I may have to hold off on that one for a while till I'm done with Navy, or else it may be a little more hidden.
