Should I stll bother? (girl thread)

So I've made friends with a girl I hardly talked to up until these past few weeks, and I started to grow feelings for her as we got to be better friends, but then I found out she has a boyfriend. But I don't want to give up I feel like she's into me, she loves the fact that I play guitar, can't get enough of my hair, and overall loves to hear me talk about music. She hardly talks about her boyfriend if at all, but I still don't see any ending point for those two. Do you guys think it's still worth it to keep on going after her? [Edited on 12.05.2012 2:28 PM PST]

 • I see. Well, this may not be what you want to hear but the most you can do is be her friend until something happens. Especially if you want a long-term relationship for her then you should be aiming for what's best for her. Or you can also keep your eyes open for someone else, you know? You'd be surprised what can happen.

 •
Posted by: Viper Skills
Posted by: YourdogdiedLOL Well we were friends way back in 6th grade, then stopped talking until now when I saw her again in my study hall. And I guess it's more of a friendship type of thing, I talk to her fairly regularly and I'm not antisocial around her at all.
And how is her current relationship going?
I don't know, I never hear her complain about it, but she rarely ever talks about it anyways. I'm going to assume you're high school age. So, with that being said, be responsible and leave it be. Wait until she breaks up with him, or vice versa and then go ahead and pursue. Don't be a dick.

This. Just because she doesn't talk about the guy or has a flirtatious personality doesn't mean she's in to you. Hell, she might be. But wait for her to make that decision herself. But this is one of those times where you more or less have to stow your feelings for her and play it safe. If you really like her then be her friend and wait for them to break up. If they don't, then hey, be happy for her. How well do you know her? Is it a crush or a friendship-type thing?
Well we were friends way back in 6th grade, then stopped talking until now when I saw her again in my study hall. • Read this poem I wrote about girls... This is the last time the paper meets the pen. No more wasting my breath on some no good heartless chick. I've wasted too much time spitting out these rhymes it feel like suicide. The mere thought of you running through my mind is slowly killing me inside. Girl you walked all over me like the dirt beneath your feet. If you believe in true love why don't you believe in me? Your loves a prison I'm trapped inside these walls concrete. But I've served my time. I'm breaking out out of my life sentence, complete.

 • Keep going at it, get really close to her then if/when they break up get straight in there. Obviously don't be insensitive if/when they break up.
