Anyone else hyped to see what Bungie's been up to?
In the picture we see three coated soldiers and some sort of tank.
It is clearly in a sci-fi setting. The weapons, helmets, tank all look very futuristic. There's also a (robotic?) sphere floating around with the soldiers.
In the background we vaguely see a monstrous structure. It has odd curves and many pipes/wires that make it look like it could be anything. It could be a settlement, a giant vehicle/spaceship, or just a mountain with toppled trees.
Speaking of spaceships, do you guys think the game will be on a galactic scale? Or will it all happen on one planet?
Also, the soldiers have coats and look very rugged. They look like scavengers. They could be the bad guys, but they can just as well be the good guys.
What do you guys think about this? What are you hoping for? I'm hoping for a multiplayer that is at least as epic as it was in the Halo franchise.

I still think those gusys aren't Humans the one who's looking towards us looks like he dosen't have much human facial features and it seems he might actually have four eyes from his visors spacing between those dots. [Edited on 12.04.2012 11:44 AM PST]

Boys I think we have found the Destiny version of the scarab that legs is either part of an animal or an animal like machine plus the armor and gun. I wonder if it is the second option that we're going to have a bunch of zoid like species.

The link doesn't work, but by your description I'm guessing you mean this? It's not a screenshot, that term is reserved for pictures that are snapped from an active media or the captivation of a certain image, this file is in its default state; it's art, or concept art i.e the title of this thread is misleading.
Posted by: Timmie To me, the "tank" looks more like an actual animal with armor. Just look at the front of it, pretty sure that's legs.
You mean like the Combine Strider and Air Carrier from Half-Life 2? That would be kind of cool, and it would work with the knight theme; armour clad horse. But I hope it's entirely artificially manufactured, even if it's an animal.

Btw, what is that grey orb infront of the tank? Has someone opened a thread about it?
Posted by: da 70 70 hatred It really reminds me of Starwars. I wonder what the Traveler is.
Maybe it's a ship from an other world that has been sent to protect earth. I was even thinking, it's possible many traveller exist in the game universe, who know ?

That sphere is what really intrigues me. It looks too different to the soldiers and the giant tank in the picture. It's much cleaner and more advanced looking.

I always thought that it was some sort of mechanical ATAT-type tank, but it could very well be an animal. The vent on the back of the object certainly does seem like a hint that it's mechanical though.

I agree with the scavenger thing, maybe there going to scavenge from that structure in the background? Maybe if Bungie are going open world then there one of the factions you can side with? Maybe that ball is some kind of storage so they can transport scavenged gear to sell easily? Maybe their aliens (they have four eyes)? So much to speculate from this one image...

With the description we've been given thus far, it seems more like it'll definitely centered around Earth and specifically the Last City. However, that wouldn't make sense given all of these star-themed hints and handouts. Possibly a push to try and retake what humanity lost in the Golden Age?
