It's truly absurd how much they invested in Halo 4. PC versions would be -blam!- awesome. Besides binding agreements with Microsoft, what are the reasons for not developing PC versions, if there are any...? Just cause xbox? :(
Agreed. The worst part is that it was all hyping up Chief's new nemesis. Chief and Cortana, what Halo 4 is about, didn't even get much screen time. An ancient evil awakens here, an ancient evil awakens there. Why couldn't there have been alternate taglines? I wanted to see some Storm Covie vs. Chief combat with Prometheans intervening. That'd have been way better than an ambush that makes the Knights look like mooks when in previous depictions (i.e. E3 2012), they were depicted as being superior to or on par with Chief (knocking him back, pinning him down, even about to deliver a killing blow). Once Forward Unto Dawn was finished, I pretty much lost all interest. [Edited on 11.04.2012 7:17 PM PST]

I just want to "finish the fight" on my gosh darn PC! Seriously, they gave us Halo 1 and 2 and left us hanging without the final.

I wasn't soley basing it off B.net join date. I also used when he started playing Halo 2 and his attitude to formulate my theory.

If you were to do that with me, you'd think I just played Reach and a little bit of Halo 3 after joining in 2010. Hell, DusK joined after that guy did.
This. I met Halo about three years ago. And I've mastered/got thoroughly acquainted with all the Halo games (except ODST, which I lost) in that short time. That's about the usual time it takes to develop a Halo game!

Only a PC port could save Halo from stagnation. Ok I'm not really being serious but I am frustrated by how the console versions have such limited options in the settings. Is it really that hard to set the FoV? Afaik, it's just one offset. And is it really that hard to disable HUD elements without a skull?

From my experience, not many people played the Xbox, it was more PS2 based and a handful had Xbox Live. Halo 3 and the 360 on the other hand, nearly everyone has Live and pretty much everyone i could speak to has played Halo 3. So given the fact not too many played Halo 2 (again in the context of people i know in person), it's unlikely they played Halo 1 (either online for PC or LAN with friends on Xbox) so they can't really judge which is the best in the series without having spent sufficient time with all of the games. Meh.. we'll see. I think that Halo 2 Anniversary for Xbox 360 is pretty much a given at this point, but as for PC ports... we'll see, I suppose.
