So ive been playing Oni and im confused...
Is Barbaras supposed to be an evil master chief? He's got the pale face and the scars, so i just had to wonder you know. I'm not that far into the game, so i could be missing something but in all fairness this things pretty tough.

the oni main character is a total rip off of major motoko from ghost in the shell, seriously they look pretty alike

Like the marathon logo & some weapon name that you actually can't wield or some crates I can't really recall. Anyways halo referred more to oni than oni to halo. Barbaras is an augmented thug for the Syndicate. Nothing more.

Considering Oni is a completely separate franchise from Halo, probably not. But there are probably a lot of similarities between the description of Johns face and Barbaras, but it's unlikely that it's unintended or a reference in the books, judging by the fact we never see Master Chiefs face. I am actually yet to play Oni.
