can we still make new halo 2 maps?

im asking this because the .ass plugin is not compatible with the new versions of 3ds max and from my browsing of the autodesk site the new versions are the only ones that they offer, if we had an exporter for somthing like blender this probably would not happen because there smart enough to keep an archive of all there old versions of blender.

  • If I could just get AI on mp maps. Then I wouldn't be left with a dozen untouched maps.

  • the only real way we could fix this is by someone remaking the plugin for blender or some other 3d software with an archive.

  • Well, that sucks. I hate to see something so bare-boned continued to be bashed to pieces.

  • well the .ass plugin converts a model made in a program like 3ds max into a map that can be edited in the halo 2 map making kit thing, and considering that no longer works due to autodesk being foolish and forgetting to make an archive for older versions the .ass plugin no longer works with the newer versions of 3ds max.

  • Partly due to the low player count. I wouldn't see the point to be honest.

  • You can do it, but not many people play them.
