According to "trademarkia", the Bungie Aerospace trademark is currently "abandoned" and has been since April 30th. What do you think this means? Is this an error or has Bungie abandoned the initiative?
I know DeeJ said there will be more games coming out through Bungie Aerospace in Mail Sack 2 but this seems to suggest otherwise.

That makes sense. Someone should get Deej to get us some clarification (if he's allowed) on this in the forum or in the next update.
Posted by: Simjon4two That's the trademark for the old logo. Here is the trademark for the name. It was registered by Bungie Aerospace Corporation not by Bungie, Inc. itself.
Case closed, false alarm?

Please no.

I believe Bungie has temporarily put the project on hold to focus on Destiny. This would explain the lack of Aerospace games.

Why would they still maitain the pimps at sea trademark, but abandon the aerospace one. Even if they no longer were going to use the logo, or not even create any future projects under that name. You would think they would still keep hold of it.
Because if they made Pimps At Sea, they could sell it for money. Barring the, what I can only assume are fairly minimal sales of the second episode of Crimson: Steam Pirates, Aerospace has yet to get any money. Bungie fans would buy a $1.99 iOS Pimps At Sea RPG like it was the cure to cancer.
It is not like it would cost Bungie a lot to maintain it. I am not completely knowledgeable in the world of trade marks, but what would be the result of someone else registering the trademark while bungie is still curently using aerospace. Could the obtain the rights of anything that is currently under aerospace's name?
Ask Foman. He's the lawyer. *Points to the PM Feature*
Posted by: Enfinit I don't believe the initiative for Aerospace was abandoned, perhaps they're just changing the name?
Maybe it wasn't looking good?
-
I don't really know much about this Aerospace. The name sounds kinda cool though...
-
Say it ain't so, Bungie!
-
Posted by: antony X1000 I hope not, Aerospace seems quite promising, it just need to get more games out.

Posted by: Duardo Surely someone forgot to file something...right?
The Fo-ster made it sound like it was a document that is pretty hard to forget to file.
Posted by: Duardo Surely someone forgot to file something...right?
Fingers crossed and just drank some Irish Whiskey for good luck.

Yeah we were told we'd have more Aerospace goodness by the end of summer if I remember correctly. That never came through. Crimson also has never come to the Android like it was implied it eventually might. There have been no new titles either. Maybe we're just supposed to forget about it. :(

I think they're just waiting for these solar storms to devastate the global power infrastructure before they rebuild under the auspices of the new world government.

Say what?!

I think someone (namely, the OP) should definitely ask this in the next Mailsack. It's not likely that they'll respond but at least it'll get the question read.
-
What? No aerospace!
-
I hope that they will reveal a huge list of games that will be supported by Aerospace when they are no longer dark. Maybe Bungie is waiting for the time to release an uber-update, for lack of a better term.
-
What a surprising turn of events....I wonder what Bungie is going to say about that.
-
I wonder if Bungie is able to clarify. [Edited on 05.05.2012 3:15 PM PDT]
