Guessing that being a 'Intrepid Mythic Member' means you have invested a lot into bungie, also guessing that you (like many) feel its a little sad that all bungie have left is a mobile app (and not theirs, and only 12 weeks to develop).

 •
Posted by: TurtleNut wtf is hbs?
HareBrained Schemes, the studio who made steam pirates. Which kinda backs up my point ... bungie takes the credit and does nothing to promote the developers, and yet this was another criticism that bungie levelled at Microsoft. (and yet here we are bungie)

 • bungie are just a bunch of ungrateful shíts. Microsoft made bungie after buying them and the halo series back in 2000. At that time bungie slammed Activision (a rival bidder), saying xbox & Microsoft were far better. But to spite Microsoft - they now find activision just perfect. bungie also cried thet Microsft was too controlling (even they Microsoft OWNED them and the series - go figure). And ironically - with aerospace - bungie are doing the same things that they complained of ... except they dont pay HBS a huge pile of $$, yet they take the credit and get HBS to include the bungie 'crimson' trademark in the games name. They even restricted the platform release (even though the engine HBS use runs on Andriod/PC/MAC/iOS (and have posted vidios/statements showing so). So 10 years on ... bungie become the very thing they rebelled against, bite their master, and betray their fans.

 • i dont know what you guys are getting at with aerospace and everything and what bungie did wrong but if bungie stayed with microsoft wouldnt have they had to make more halo games for them? and on their new game microsoft would own it too? maybe bungie just wants to have their own -blam!-

 •
Posted by: Bubblegum death Nice to see Im not the only person that thought bungie went to hell after leaving microsoft.
Far from the only one. The whole aerospace fail is a BIG sign of that. If bungie had tried this 5 years back they would have been flooded with Indie developers wanting to jump of the bungie/Microsoft name ... but now?? (even HSB was done as a 12 week favour by an ex-business partner/friend) Its also kinda fun watching Activision trying to manage bungie, the grief that went out over the Tokyo no-show was classic. I know activision have a default hook into bungie based on the sales advance $$ they paid up, but what use is any private share hold in bungie if the company's crashed.

Kinda ironic though, in your world its ok for you to post 'thats not true' (and without any supporting comment) ... but if anyone dare replies to your post they are 'looking for a fight'.

 •
Posted by: Destiny 7
Posted by: jack pipsam
Posted by: GLO Is Back lol ... Microsoft pulled bungie up to be one of the leading game studios. bungie then jumps boat like an ungrateful pup and sinks faster than a rock. From hero to zero, and even failing at pimpin other peoples games. Sad part is, I doubt bungie even learnt that the fanbase counts.
This is so true :(
That is no where no true.
"no where no true" ... are you agreeing via a double negative there ?!? Or are you saying that; - bungie was anywhere near the name it was BEFORE and SINCE Microsoft owned them?? Microsoft and the xbox made bungie into an overnight name ... and what has bungie done since splitting from Microsoft, played as publisher [cough] on ONE game ?!? - Ungrateful bungie - yep. Go read the public statements from bungie, even complaining how Microsoft were too controlling (lol - yeah, who owned that game & studio). Ironically via Aero[waste-of]space they pushed HSB into changing the title name, made no up front sales advance (which bungie themselves demanded from Activision) - double standards or what?? - and for the "failing at pimpin other peoples games" ... one title in over two years does not a publisher make. Fail. Apple and HBS themselves are doing more to market the game than bungie, and yet they put their name down as publisher - lol. Has bungie learnt that the fanbase count, like to see otherwise. Yep, guessing you was attempting a witty double negative - lol

 •
Posted by: acnboy34
Posted by: LH Justin Well, the whole Aerospace thing wouldn't have been a bad idea, if they had more than one game that is...
urk noted sometime that Bungie has been working with other developers, and that things are coming into fruition. Or something; meaning there should be another Aerospace game coming out.
So ... two games in two years (well, longer than 2 years). Is that a joke?? How many mobile apps are release each week ... how many in 2+ years? And bungie can only get the ONE (and 'maybe' working on a second) ... lol ... and this after offering cash and riches to hungry/starving Indie developers? Funny how the stench of something rotten keeps even the hungriest away.

I'm sure their next actual game will skyrocket them back into popularity.
The Indie developer community who through aerospace was meant to endorse bungie as a studio of worth have stayed away - why? Because they know that the bungie name is like the kiss of death at the moment (also backed up by the feeling of posts on any of this sites forums). Can bungie recover - maybe. But given they are not looking at releasing the next title on xbox (PC & PS3 only) it is kinda obvious they feel it is easier to leave the bad feeling behind them. It may even help them gather some PS3 cred as they can be seen to have 'shafted the xbox community and given the bird to Microsoft'. Can already see that Activision is having a hard time with bungie - failed to turn up to E3, then cancelled on Tokyo (the home of PS3) and bagging any comment on the next title. Hard for a publisher to generate publicity with bungies attitude.
