We are the 99%

http://wearethe99percent.tumblr.com/ We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent. Where's the bailout for these people?

I voted for him. I didn't vote for him because of his skin color; I'm not that shallow.

 •
Posted by: forcereconFR13 I understand the peoples frustration there and i think its justified that reform should take place, but the protest has no leaders... which defeats the whole point.
I have seen some videos. I think alot of people are just there to party now. I saw one guy shyt faced and being interviewed. Pretty entertaining.

 • Wow I was on this thread a couple days ago. It is interesting seeing how it has evolved over the course of the week. I just actually read over the Occupy Wall Streets demands. Pretty rediculous. The one that stood out the most was "A living wage no matter if your employed or unemployed". They want to pay people just for being shot into their mothers belly.

 •
Posted by: TBB_Mike
Posted by: Mai R0f1C0pt3r While I disagree with the protest as a whole, that guy discussed the petty nonsense that is the media today and I respect him for it. I think FOX got more than they bargained for with that guy.
If he dissed the media, I'd probably agree with him. The media is a joke no matter what you listen to or read generally.
He had a lot to say about "the rich get richer and the standard of living for the poor has fallen" at first so I was skeptical, but then he just went at FOX for failing to provide equal coverage and portraying the Wall Street protesters as unreasonable protesting idiots while backing up the Tea Party. He also mentioned that maybe the news could contribute to dialogue in politics instead of talking about petty things such as the president's birth certificate. [Edited on 10.06.2011 10:45 AM PDT]

I'm not sure if this has been posted previously, there are thirty or so pages I'd have to trawl through. Still, worth watching, and relevant. •
Posted by: TBB_Mike
Posted by: William Jethrod Yeah 'cause the wallstreet protests totally aren't a political topic.
Everything is political. So we can't talk about the death penalty because Republicans/Democrats have different views? What about Medicare/Medicaid? There isn't a single topic of discussion besides "herp derp My Little Pony" that doesn't have a political ideology surrounding it. As long as things are civil, it is fine. We should keep it that way.
I'm just going off what the forum rules say. Also civility and informed opinions are two different things.
