The "Hidden" Halo 2 Pic

A day or so ago I posted stuff about possible new Halo 2 pics. One of which is of the Master Chief in his "Mark VI" armor (I also said it was a monochromatic blue pic, hued to the color of the site. I was wrong. The gorgeous blue of the site must have, in my mind, bled over into my memory of the pic. Its in color). For those who couldn't find it, go to Games, then click Halo 2. The pic is top and center of the page. It looks new to me. Seems like Chief has his back to some kinda wall, and Pelicans are flying in the background. Some of you might find this interesting. I know I pretty much posted some of this before, but I just wanted to clean it up.

 • Hmmmmm, maybe this is nothing, but out of the 3 Halo game subsites, 343 Guilty Spark faces a different direction in the Halo 2 site. Instead of facing the person using whatever computer like on the Halo and Halo PC/Mac sites, 343 seems to stare at the Master Chief in the "new pic." Also, the Chief looks like he's staring back at 343. This is only if you don't scroll down...

 • I'm pretty sure they're Pelicans. They've got the airfoil structures, and also have the stubby nose that reminds me of them. And you're right, its most likely a rendering.... but the image doesn't change when I go there, its always the same every time.

 • That is most certinally a Pelican. It seems darker to me, but we do have dynamic lightning now, so, hm.

 • Yeah, Banshee, it took me a while to see it, but it is a pelican. The nose is aimed towards the top right corner of the screen.

 • You never know, Bungie guys seem to be hella' good with PS7. They could have edited that easy with a few screens. XP

 • I'm assuming it's a CG scene, but I could be wrong. With Halo 2, it's hard to tell the difference between CG videos and the actual gameplay. And that's something to be proud of, Bungie. LOL.

 • The things in the background looked like tanks to me... Are you sure they are Pelicans?

 • Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's new, but it almost looks like a render rather than a screenie. What do you think?
