10,000,000 posts by the end of the year.

Some of you may remember a thread I made many months ago proposing a challenge to the Flood, to get to 10,000,000 posts by the end of 2010. Back then, due to some number crunching, I determined that the Flood would need to up its activity only slightly to reach this goal. In light of recent milestones reached, 500,000 topics and 20,000 pages, I decided to observe the Flood's post count, this time over a three day period. I won't bore you with the exact numbers, but the upshot is than after three days and ten minutes, the Flood's average daily post count was 11,423. At this rate, The Flood will reach 10,000,000 posts in 10-11 days. It is December 18 for me currently. So we have less than two full weeks of 2010 left. So it is likely to be a close run thing. The Flood has increased its activity since my last thread to the point now where even a drop in activity could see us over the line. Obviously, this is entirely achievable. If we all post as we have been over the past three days, we will get to ten million posts in 2010. I just thought some of you may be interested. Of course, this does not mean spamming the forum to up the post count, in fact it's clear that we can post less and still achieve this. Anyway, Flood, do you accept this challenge? I think I know the answer. Challenge... Accepted.
