Content creators are not the voice of your players
When you seek input why ask/invite the content providers as I do not believe they represent the majority of your player base.
Casing point, on the forums most people hate the fixed - delta’s on EVERYTHING
But no content creator has made videos complaining about this. I asked one and they said they have no issue with -30 delta as find everything easy. Most players have the opposite view. It is mostly doable but tedious and NOT FUN to play anymore.
They have no issue because they are day 1 contest raiders and dungeon crawlers. Solo flawless with ease dungeon goers and have similar level players to back them up etc.
They are not the majority of your player base just the very small but ultimately more vocal/ visible minority. When you invite them for input they always seem to want it harder, more challenging so they have something to present in their content.
Just wondering when you get feedback from the majority of normal players.
I was really looking forward to Destiny Star Wars but knowing everything is -30 it take the wind out of my sails.

3 RepliesAnd everything being a speedrun. Who likes speedruns? Content creators. They need to get rid of the timer crap everywhere. Let people play how they want. I want to kill enemies. Not run past them or chase my teammates.

Agreed, it is ridiculous to asume people who play "for a living" have the same wishes and needs as people who play "for fun on their time off". Profasionals want excesive difficulty and are easely bored with anything and everything, us casual gamers want to chill wile we play.

1 ReplyI've said it before, we didnt have these issues in D1 - because that was console only and the focus was on "fun". When PC players got in the mix we also got these comparisons to other more advanced games, different expectations and generally also higher skill, from the kb/m users. Those were things people on consoles had to adjust to and it hasnt always been optimal. PC also introduced a bunch of cheats.

1 ReplyEverything used to be 50-60 deltas for prime engrams -30 is easy, and I'm not a professional raider with tons of streamer freinds to back me up, nor am I a content creator myself, I play mostly solo, I have zero day 1 raids to my name, if you want a good laugh, look at my raid report People complaining about leveling is what caused the fixed deltas, now power level is once again meaningless The problem is magnified because everything is pigeonhold through the portal, so everything has the same difficulty

Not only they are not the voice of the majority of the players, but they are one of the reasons why this game suc*@s so bad. It's no fun at all, it only feels aggravating. How can they expect ppl to stick around? I stopped playing PVE altogether and even Crucible is unplayable most of the time.

Removing forced deltas isn't gonna get people to reinstall the game. Most people don't even like the new leveling system to begin with. That is why a lot of people quit. They might as well go back to the system they had last year. More people preferred that.

I hate raids. I think I've only played 2... hated them. The questionnaire they sent to players focused on raids. Who has time for that? Dungeons are alright, but the stupid puzzles and platform jumping sucks.

1 ReplyRuefully, I don't think they have been looking at this forum for a very long time. A while back the devs and community teams were getting death threats on here. Reddit they used to look at when Deej was community manager, as I got a reply back from him once, and he was very prolific on the r/destinythegame forum. If your posting over there, be warned, as i used to be the case anything slightly critical of the game would result in the post being down voted to hell. No idea if the team is still on there, as I stopped playing the game seriously after Forsaken, and just played the story campaign when the game me the expansions on PS+, so I've got no skin in the game. i stopped enjoying the game when Lightfall was released, as I could see the trajectory of the game, and it wasn't good. Right from the start of D1, Twitch and youtube personalities was the way they went. People that have a vested interest in making sure that the game was still good (for them) JP is off on permanent golfing leave, and Sony are the new drivers of the game. I'm sure they will want to see a decent return on their $3bn investment. Not sure if its a change for the better or worse at this point

I still don't blame them as it's ultimately Bungie which so spectacularly failed to read player sentiment and still continues to double down inspite of overwhelming feedback to the opposite. Bungie's game not creator's so Bungie's fault ultimately.
