Unsung Actors/Actresses
Ever notice that actor/actress you've seen in multiple movies and tv shows but they've never really been a headliner?
I'm currently watching 'Funny Farm' (1988), and Mike Starr has a brief role in the movie which got me thinking of all the things I've seen him in but it was always as a side character ('The Last Dragon' comes to mind); never really front and center. Another person that comes to mind is Brion James.
Anyone else have someone that they think were somewhat underrated or underutilized?

A lot of the minor side characters in both Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra are quite good. The warden from the prison episode in Season 1 and Korra’s mum come to mind. No idea what their names are, and I don’t think either has had a starring role, at least not that I’ve heard of.

6 RepliesI don't know if she counts, she's fairly well regarded, but Olivia Colman is a talent, like I could listen to her read the phone book and I think I'd be entertained. She's an English actress and so she gets utilized by the BBC a lot, but I'm not sure she's made much of an impression in the United States. Olivia Colman is my copilot.

1 ReplyArmin Shimmerman from Buffy and Deep Space Nine is great. Peter Jurasik in Babylon 5 is really good too. He was in the original Tron as Jeff Bridges cell mate. Andreas Katsulas also from Babylon 5.

2 RepliesTamsin Grieg She’s a reasonably big name now in comedy TV here in the uk, but that’s only because she was in Friday Night Dinner and Black Books. She must have been in hundreds of other things because I’ve seen her all over the place without really realising it.
