So for those not in the know, Lancer is a Sci-Fi mecha TTRPG made by the good folks at Massif Press. You are a Lancer, a mech pilot tasked with taking the fight to whoever you need to either as a mercenary, a Union soldier, Etc. I thought it’d be a good idea to make a brainstorming post where we can share ideas for mechs that are either new frames or alternate-frames of existing ones like the Balor from the Horus’ licenses, doesn’t matter if what is said here is based on other games^^ There are 5 mech foundries in the base game; GMS - Store brand mechs you could probably get from Space-Walmart Harrison Armoury - Militaristic mechs you would see in something like BattleTech IPS-N - Space-Amazon who make mechs that don’t need to look good to kick butt Horus - Paracausal mechs made from the Eldritch Code of a paradoxical entity named RA SSC - Anime. No really, their mechs are elegant yet brutal, from beam sabers to missle spamming I’ll start with one that’s an alt-frame of Horus’ Hydra; The Withered Serpent This mech trades in it’s legs and weapon slots for a propulsion system to help it hover and fly (EVA module for space no longer required), talon-like claw hands, a long serpent tail and multiple heads capable of having modular integrated weapons like the Basilisk head of the original. Weapon choices are heavily limited but are made up for by the increased mobility in space as well as being able to run at least two Basilisk heads at the same time on higher license levels. The inspiration should be obvious but now I would like to hear yours, Stats aren’t needed but if you have them then feel free to add them, this is all for fun anyway so there’s no rush.
