What’s the point of using anything else besides a Pulse Rifle in PvP?
There seems to be no point of using anything else besides a pulse rifle. The Time To Kill is absolutely ridiculous and there is zero skill involved. I can’t even get away fast enough.
Why grind for other weapons when you’re just going to be defeated? Some dude went 42 in crucible with just a pulse rifle. How is that meant to be fair when I’m just using a hand cannon and auto rifle? It makes me have to change and it’s not fun. I should be able to challenge without feeling I have zero chances.
It’s not fun. I genuinely want to have fun in this game but I’m being beaten by things that really shouldn’t be,
No other weapon kills faster. Excluding shotguns and fusion rifles.
This is a big problem and it wasn’t like this at all.
I debate deleting it and moving on and I think that’s the right decision. Because at least in other games I have a chance.

I’m not a Crucible player, like, at all. Did all my Comp placement games last week on my Solar Titan. I alternated between Monte Carlo and Sweet Business. Just use whatever you want. The people who kill you with the meta crap will almost certainly kill you almost as fast with anything else. -
HCs are perfectly fine rn if not better

skill issue, you can use hc, ar, smg even scouts, the current primary balance is nearly perfect outside some subfamily guns

1 ReplyWhat are you talking about? Pulses aren't even that great. You can easily fight Pulse rifles with so many different guns. Just don't stand out in the open with zero strategy and I promise you don't have to use a pulse rifle.

9 RepliesI've been saying for a long time scouts and pulses kill way too fast for the range, ease of use, and forgiveness they provide. Scouts and pulses should not 3 burst/shot from 10 miles away that's just not good design. You wonder why people camp and lane so much and don't move. Why? Because you give people easy to use weapons that deal high dps from eons away and plus you give them loads of AA. Why? That's why people don't move. Why did people not camp in D1 Y1 very much? Because scouts and pulses were support weapons, not the railguns they have become. This all started back in 2015 with the launch of The Taken King. Bungie decided to buff scouts (no clue why) and this has been a big issue ever since. And the issue has really never left its just gotten worse. Scouts and pulses should be used as support not rail gunning people from across the map. I remember when scouts used to take 6-7 or 8 shots to kill. Even slow rpm scouts would take 5 or six bullets to kill. With no aim assist at all really. The weapon I am surprised I don't see more of is Touch of Malice. This thing just melts. I know its a RNG raid exotic. But, pantheon gave it away basically for free thats why i'm surprised i don't see it more. I mean what I said about scouts and pulses being railguns. You die before you can even react to being shot at.

Pulses are horrible now lol Ive played 50 games of trials this weekend and no joke have seen two pulses, they were both redrix and one of them was a hard cheater

5 RepliesHand canons are extremely oppressive against pulse rifle, what are you talking about? two, or three taps at the most is all it takes, I would even say hand canon users have it made in the shade :) On the other hand, being able to compete with a broader variety of weapons, and having a fair chance, would be much nicer, but I don't think it is possible to implement in this game at this point in it's direction, and current development.

There is not a whole lot of variety of weapons in the game, but when you point that out, you are immediately attacked on the forum. Just save yourself the grief, and try to enjoy what is there in the game.

Yes redrix is silly, but let's be real, edge of fate comes in 2 months. And before that bungie will show a new shiny toy that will go and cause mayham My wishlist though, don't hand out god rolls to everyone and their grandma. The one shaxx got is the only one I saw the most and to be fair, I have seen nobody grind for a better roll for a month. But we shall see

Nah I can’t do it, my whole team is just being abused by pulse rifles. I won’t wish bad luck. But I’m grateful Bungie are having a bad time right now, legally. That brings me joy knowing they can do all these crossovers but can’t even balance a glass on a glass. Thanks for absolutely nothing.
