The issue here is that Destiny is a relatively old Game. And I mean Old. Not like Doom old, but being a live service game before Live Service was really a thing, it’s ancient by those standards
The population along with it is also older, and thus the expectations on what Bungie should and shouldn’t deliver has only grown in proportion with expansions like Taken King, Forsaken, and yes, even Final Shape.
On top of this, it’s easier to be more critical of certain bugs because while they may not be able to directly affect our “ability” to play, they do affect our experience in game, and in recent years, these bugs have only seemed to get more prevalent. It’s not so long ago that the Craftening happened. Pair it with other game breaking bugs that could be argued for having Rollbacks and whatnot (the recent Dungeon Pantheon accidental release) are just painting a very bad image of Destiny.
This doesn’t even consider release date queue times and Network errors. For major releases like the Final Shape, that’s excusable, but not being able to get into Destiny for half the day on the release of an Episode is inexcusable, cause it’s not just the population doing that.

All games have bugs, and Live Service games...especially 10 year old ones...are going to have more with each year that passes, as you layer more and more things onto the original game engine. Think about the things they've added (Stasis, Strand, weapons that shoot bugs that explode, weapons that shoot Taken projectiles, or that shoot out turrets, new enemies that have guardian abilities, spaces that alter what is up and what is down, etc)... Every Three Months ... They are doing these things, and at most we have a gun or armor piece that is causing the game to crash, and those items are quickly fixed. We may have a delay of a few hours to play the game at reset, but that's it. That's a nothing burger when you look at the complexity of the game as a whole, and how well it plays. Anyone can nitpick a bug or issue that THEY felt are game breaking and they can simply not play anymore, but those people are being overly dramatic. We all know this. There's no point in saying those people represent everyone's experience, because they simply don't.
