We Finally Have Answers...No More Destiny

Where do I start, we've all been on this journey for a long time. I dont know if I should be angry, sad, or un-surprised to hear Bungie has been sacrificing D2 to fund other projects.Literally YEARS of drama...every expac "its do or die" for the community. Little did we know the pushing of paid event cards, dungeon keys, PAID shaders?!... was all to fund projects that sound so bad its laughable...3rd person hero based destiny puzzle game? mobile games? Years of cooking on a competitive shooter in a market so saturated concord couldnt even get enough players to become a meme. Bungie...you had one of the only "successful" live-service games in gaming history. Maybe just maybe, the expansions sales numbers wouldnt have dropped off if you doubled down like you should have. Instead you've milked a loyal playerbase to fund dumb unwanted projects...When did you decide to betray the fanbase and work on trash incubation projects for years draining all profits away for nothing? Was it the moon reskin and fetch quests that was shadowkeep? we all came back because forsaken felt like a full dev team that cared, then you betrayed us with that garbage DLC. All those MTX, expansions, dungeon keys, and not a dime went to future proofing the franchise that carried you...D3 was the answer, not gummibears, marathon, or a fking 3rd person puzzle game. Free from Activision and any accountability it seems. Farewell Destiny

  • I would love to see their financials, how much $$ went to payroll..each side project..and D2. I’m still dumbfounded about the $3.6billion deal from Sony just 2 years ago in which $1.2billion was supposed to be for employee retention. I can understand that D2 is an expensive game to maintain but with it being your only revenue generator how are you allocating those funds across the company? How much was wasted on those absurd side projects? This is the corporate bs that ticks me off. Piss poor leadership decisions which negatively affect all the employees below. I’m curious Bungie, what happens to all the retention $$ the employees you laid off couldn’t receive due to not being vested long enough? I’d bet their severance package wasn’t near the amount they would’ve received from that vested $$!
