If you'd been reading the forums more you'd probably know the answer to that question. The answer is most likely when Marathon comes out because they simply refuse to add more servers and so they are going to have to rip the existing servers out of the Destiny data center and place them into the Marathon data center.
Also according to the forums, they refuse to treat their player base with sufficient tender love and care so they are unlikely to agree to print physical discs so that we may continue to enjoy Destiny in the comfort of our homes.

If you are looking to this forum for the direction anything is going you'd think the game died 8 years ago and no one is playing

Unfortunately, for Marathon they'll probably take the D1 servers offline before the D2 ones.

Edited by A_mo: 8/5/2024 1:59:24 PM-blwhoam!- knows what's going to happen with D1. I'm not even sure how many people are playing it. It does hold a special place in a lot of peoples' hearts so there's that. The freaking censor thing strikes again. That's how I'll deal with that.

People still play it every now and again. They'll still riot if Bungie announces taking the D1 Servers offline. Just look at how people reacted when Sony initially announced shutting down the PSVita Store.
-
People riot for everything nowadays. They just go from one riot to the next. I wonder if it will be like when Nintendo took whatever system that was offline but people competed to keep the games on by not turning them off. D1 could be on for 10 more years if that's the case. There's a lot of people in the Destiny community that would rise to the occasion.

So Sad like Battlefield Hardline. Everything must come to and END. I hope players aren't addicted too it.

Its weird that from what it seems its the people that are constantly accusing others of having addiction issues that are most afraid of their favorite trap house closing down. It doesn't seem to be only the game playing fix as much as it seems like they'll not have anything to endlessly complain about. Its so bad they're hallucinating the game ending when its not.

The Nine wasn't there , so maybe they are the Evil ones?

All I know is that I'm very satisfied with what I've gotten out of the game over the last 7 years and I plan to keep on playing it for quite a while. Anyone that had a hand in making it should be proud of themselves and some unfortunate circumstances took place but the game itself is very good.
