Wall Street is in the financial district in downtown Manhattan.
Bungie's headquarters is in Bellevue, Washington.
Used to drive black car service and dispatch on the jersey side of the Lincoln Tunnel and Holland Tunnels a couple miles from there for years.
All those sharks in suits you always see in depictions of NYC, those were my customers every day. A million Pete Parsons types. They are as insufferable and self absorbed as you'd imagine.

Not that I have ever had your experience, but being from that area myself, the few dealings I have had with those types of people, I’d say your 100% accurate in your assessment.

Edited by R-E-D-C-E-L-L: 8/4/2024 6:39:11 PMBeing a black car driver for the rich, you are in a very unique position. Several different scenarios happen. If it's night time, they may be drunk and completely self unaware and will spill everything to you thinking it doesn't matter what they say. The amount of systemic racism and classism people are unafraid to vomit from their mouths while under the influence is staggering. Other times, it's because they're talking to someone else in the car or on the phone and you are not someone they acknowledge exists and they know they'll probably never see you again so they don't care. Other times there are people who are super well meaning, have no indication of what it's like to be from your side of the tracks, they grew up rich, went to ivy League schools via legacy admissions and have never known a day of struggle in their lives so they will sometimes ask meaningful questions about your interests, what life is like for you and things of that nature and they're just really great folks who don't judge you. There are far too many that are really ignorant people though. Which is why it's very unsurprising when people like Parsons and Luke Smith do the things they do.

Awww. Mad cuz poor.

Edited by R-E-D-C-E-L-L: 8/4/2024 6:22:50 PMNah, there are nice people who are rather wealthy. But generally a lot of wall street sharks are arrogant and self absorbed. I know this better than you do because I spent a lot of time around them. It's not my fault if you dislike truth. Also do you have a lot of money? Because the way you're just trying to pick a fight for nothing would indicate money hasn't made you any happier yourself. I also have worked pretty hard and have bought a house in this economy. Doesn't make me rich, but I'm above water. So maybe don't assume things, it just makes you look ignorant. Literally every comment on your profile is maniacally attacking everyone in sight. You seem very very mentally deranged and should seek professional help. Plus I'd rather be mad cuz poor than being mad at the world just because I'm you. That's much more pathetic. 😉

I know but the CEO reminds me of a person from Wall Street.
-
He is definitely that ilk of human being, for sure. Soulless corporate guy without remorse for his mistakes and how he's affected other's lives.

Hit me up if you want to play pms w/ me - old
What does ilk mean -
Essentially means "of the same type" If you were to say "a guy of his ilk" the old meaning would be "of his kind, of his people, of his clan, etc" in various ways, it meant "of his type".

Ah so the modern interpretation would be similar to the saying “ cut from the same cloth” Nice piece of vocab to learn👍 -
Precisely so. Couldn't have said it better than that.

Definitely, it's strange how destiny 2 got great again then the CEO is like, "hey you know what's a great idea?" "Sunset all the workers". It makes me sad that the CEO did this, it's infuriating really.
