Look at my kills with fusions and you’ll know I’m not just a hater. Fusions are just flat out the easiest of the specials to use.
They can sit back comfortably kinda like how snipers can, and can lack any need of precision aiming like pellet shottys. Not to mention they do a LOT of damage. Once Lord of Wolves is nerfed, everyone will switch to fusions, because they are the next easiest special in line.
Edit: Remember that pre charging exists before you tell me a shotty can just “beat the charge time.”
Edit: it’s incredible how EVERY person calling me an idiot and disagreeing is sub 1 kd😂😂😂

Edited by AppleSoda: 8/16/2022 3:52:54 PMShotguns are probably the very easiest at really low levels just because no one can aim at those levels and no one knows how to pre charge a fusion. But once you start getting closer to average games, fusions are definitely dominant. Even before the shotgun nerf, there were a few weeks where fusions were topping the kill charts in Trials iirc. People thinking that shotguns are completely dominating in higher levels—they’re not. Really, Omnioculus, Classy Restoration, and Lord of Wolves are carrying shotgun usage, not the actual efficacy of the standard weapon type. Use a regular legendary shotgun in a set of average to above average games without any of the crutches above and you’ll quickly realize it. They can still work, but they’re very easy to counter with Fusions, SMGs, and Sidearms.

nah, they should do 0 damage after they hit 20m but outside that no problem, glaive are a lot stronger
-
Man peoples don't understand trade off and balancing these days Also its cute you have this opinion...that's is just wrong If they were so easy to use the majority of player would use them....oh what ? Shotgun are still top pick after multiples years ? Shotgun are easier to use ...but it has less range it make no sense ...doesn't matter its all about the play style of that weapon and the map we have Fusion are only good in close medium range too close shotgun can kill them before they can charge too far they do no damage and get shut down by a primary...now let's see...how do most encounter goes in PvP oh what!? Its either close or long range ,barely any medium range because of how the maps are made and the abilities we have Learn the facts and stop making stuff up because you play badly against someone with a fusion ....shotgun are by far easier to use

The pre charge takes skill and even then if they get the drop on ya unless it’s right at the moment the shot goes off you’ll lose that engagement

you may not wanna hear this but pre-charging is a skill you have to develop. Not everybody is good enough to just do that. Meanwhile, anyone who can look in the opponents general direction can use a shotgun. In an ease of use contest, nothing beats shotguns. That has always been how it is.

Oh my god, we’ve finally done it. We’ve looped all the way back to unironic “so nerf fusion rifles?”.
-
Edited by Lord Ignatius: 8/13/2022 12:45:45 PMKinda the point , its a fusion rifle its not supposed to take skill or theactrics to use. Fusions aren't even really meta and they have been buffed 3 times while shotguns are still meta and they have been nerfed 5 with a new LoW nerf coming. Fusions are not broken they are just consistent when fired in its effective range and that does not mean it deserves a nerf.
-
Against a pre-charging fusion, a precision slug like Heritage or Chaperone can easily 1-tap at a safe distance that a pellet couldn’t and either kill first or trade. To try and argue that any weapon type is any easier to use than another is a simple and dense way of thinking. A fraction of a second of bad timing can make a fusion whiff or only partially clip and a slug can miss entirely. The only factor that determines the outcome is how the player reacts and times their shot. All weapons that use green ammo are easy to use and are equally broken because of their extremely fast ttk and ease of use.

I think they're both good; there's not a clear winner. SHOTGUNS: Instant damage Easier cleanup (melee) Avoid by distancing FUSIONS: More range Avoid by peak shooting behind cover
-
Use them then. 🤷♂️

Get ready for the fusion defense force coming to the defense of their favorite crutch Joking aside, I do agree fusions’ ease of use is too much. I don’t get how they butchered pellet shotguns but left fusions to be able to kill at 15-20 meters?
-
Well In the sense of guns being easier to use. Shotties obviously are the easiest in use but are the worst for specials due to their heavy nerfs Snipers Take the most skill and are the most affective bc of their limitless range and control of lanes. Fusions are obviously kind of the middle ground but to tell you the truth, they can be OP af

Edited by boi: 8/12/2022 8:22:39 PMNothing in this game takes skill. It was designed for casual play, and will practically never be anywhere near competitive because of its design, and that’s okay
-
Nah bro, shotgun will always be easiest to use mouth breather weapon.
-
Ehhhh.. no, shotguns are definitely still the most braindead weapon in the game. Hell, even snipers aim for you most of the time while ignoring flinch.
-
Shottys are by far the easiest and scrubbiest thing to use. Fusions you need to aim at least
-
Nope, shotguns still have the most ease of use.
-
Handcannons are still ezier
-
They truly are far too good. Been a problem for a while now. I see they are finally gonna do something to precisions though
-
Fusions are easier now due to the shorty nerfs. But they were pretty even before that with a shotty in the hands of a solid PVPer. My Erentil equipped on my hunter and it has 6000 souls claimed. 😱
